We’ve just beat two teams without him. The guy isn’t as integral as people think he is.

If he goes then he goes. We’ll move on and he’ll rot.

Yep.

Prefer him to stay but if his heart isn't in it...

Are you Johnny in disguise? People moan if Foden, Mahrez or Grealish are left out. People moan if kids don't get a chance

Personally I don't think we need a big money replacement but if we do we do

My only issue, if he goes, is that we have a small first team squad. We’ll honour his wishes but will need to fill his place with a comparable player.

I often disagree with Mase about his kids obsession, but surely to goodness? We have the best academy going.

I knew the day would come where we agreed on something mate haha.

I wouldn’t even try to say about our youth but there were plenty on the bench today which could be both a risk or an opportunity.

We’d all love an Academy player in each position but you’d probably need a generation of players to get there and sustain it.

Unlike many people I tend to trust Pep, Txiki and Sorriano

I'm not sure we'll replace Bernie this season. I'd say go big for Bellingham or wait next season. I'm struggling with how Barcelona can afford him! Surely we want at least 80m for him? I rather he went now, just can't be arsed with this saga every transfer window

I simply cannot comprehend folk wanting Bernie away - especially without a replacement and the squad as pitifully small as it is.

Just back home. That was a little warm today. Tin hat on the day, courtesy of Brentford.

Bellingham is massively overrated imo, also right footed - de Jong is a huge upgrade on him (albeit also right footed.) Bernie is pretty well irreplaceable given his role in the team.

We've learnt from Kompany, Silva, Yaya, Aguero et all, that no one is irreplaceable

We might not get the same style player but we adapt. Haaland is a prime example of this. Bellingham would bring a different skill set to the team as would De Jong as it goes. But all things considered I'd personally go for Bellingham

add Fern to that list and the fact is they were all well past their prime. The team had evolved when they eventually went - not so with Bern, he is in his best years and an integral part of our style of play. Gundo is the alternative and his back problem has to be managed - also this is probably his last season. We'll have to differ on Bellingham.

Sadly NB, if you listen to any murdering dipper fan, Bellingham is already going to them, sugned sealed delivered even maybe this window too.

I am fairly sure we can rely on Erling to sell the City project.

Only good reason for going scouse is if he needs his teeth whitening and your house burgled whilst you're playing an away match....
