agreed, very poor decision , the defender is pushing Haarland too . goal would be given against us or elsewhere.

Disagree, defender put his hand against his chest, standard jockeying play. Haaland then grab his arm and shirt and pull him off balance. Didn't need to do it. i thought the ref wasn't giving us much all night, but on this occassion he was correct. Brighton were more cynical than us with tactical fouls , that young dutch lad should have seen red

Sorry, i'm coming back on this. Pushing a player is a foul. he didn't put his hand on Haarlands chest he actually pushed him , which is a foul, probably why Haarland was trying to stabalise himself. We have seen it creep into the game this season whereby players think it is ok to simply push other players - a foul. the refs have let it go. I would have pulled them up for it. Keep your hands down.

clearly Haarland has grasped the shirt, ask why he was off balance .

Most of us would be very upset if that was scored against us. In my opinion, Haaland could have beaten that defender without the shirt grab.tempting for him to give it out to defenders though as most are grappling with him

Attacking players have two options when fouled, hit the deck and hope you get a penalty or be strong and take the shot on. Defenders also have two options, hit the deck and hope a foul is given against you as the attacker scores or be strong and defend. Too many defenders are now taking the easy option and hitting the deck. I am raging when a defender does this, whether he plays for or against us.

I think Brighton and Brentford are the best league teams we faced this year.

I am curious if Pep is building De Zerbi up because he sees him as a manager who will fit here.

Pep has coached him as a player and employed him as a coach, just a bit of self promotion by the bald genius

Yeah? They worked together?

I remember de Zerbi playing in Romania near the end of his career. He was pure Gundo. Brilliant for CFR Cluj,
He left on his own terms because he felt he couldn't help the club anymore.

De Zerbi was never at any club that Guardiola coached, he had a spell at Brescia but that was 5 years after Pep played there. He has visited the training ground also but I don't think he's ever been employed as a coach by Pep. Inspired by him but not employed by him is what De Zerbi means when he says "I became a coach for Pep"

I thought that's what he said in the post match interview on Sky last night, but think I got it wrong ;)

Yeah, I think a bit was lost in the language. I think he was saying it was Pep who inspired him to be a coach and that even as a player he looked up to and wanted to do what Pep was doing as a coach. His team was a joy to watch at times yesterday and very difficult to play against, in and out of possession.

Agreed. I like the way he has stamped his own seal on them following on from the great work Potter did with them. One to watch for sure this fella

Agree, salf, as is Potter still, in my opinion.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

I read in the same article that both Stones and Foden were taken off as a precaution. Let's hope so as borh have big parts to play in the two finals
