Rumours circulating we have made a 5 million bid for Julio Buffarini from San Lorenzo in Argentina.Apparently South American sports news is full of this story.

Seems to me that when it comes to buying players, AM know how to get the job done. €5.1m seems to be a bargain too.

At 31 he may only have a couple of seasons left in him but it will be interesting to see how he gets on. Him and Dave were a class act together at Valencia. Feel we missed out on this

Why bid for a player that doesn't want to leave Spain? So did we really miss out? One of the reason it was a 5.1m is Barca get 50% of any future transfer if is Athletico Madrid sells him.

I think the sentiment here is how swift they were and the press were nowhere near it. I agree, great job

Don't think we've been linked at all this window, however i recall we were either in Jan or the last full transfer window - if we had made enquiries then and told he didn't want to leave Spain then i assume we wouldn't have tried again this time round?

Know owt about him? Wiki says he's a right winger ( i know i know, its a shite reference point!) but why would we need a right winger when we have gods own son?

Falcao has come out and said he made the right move and defended his choice.

Someone should mention to him if it was in fact the right choice, he never would have had to defend the decision.

Gabriel Fernando has said on his twitter account he may be leaving City. No idea if loan or permanent or, for that matter, who the hell he is.

One for Doug?...

We made a bid for Navas, and he didn't even want to leave his house.

Four days ago the question was asked to another twitter account if he was moving to Milan, it tagged him so he replied himself saying he's going nowhere.

Then last night he says he might be leaving City, something about wanting to play and following his hopes, not his fears....twat. Anyway, he follows that up by saying he isn't saying anything until he is 100%, except he already said something, and then three more things that contradicted the first thing he wasn't going to say.

I take back everything I said about Twitter, it is a useful tool for exposing idiots to the world instead of having to give people the "benefit of the doubt".

Mike, twitter, now.

this buffarini business is 100% bollox - a guy i follow on twitter made the entire thing up with the express purpose of seeing which journos would pick it up and reference their "sources." i bet the guy never thought that buffarini's club would pick it up and run an article on it. silly season indeed.
