Is he cup tied anyone?

He is cup tied for the league cup he played in the third round against Doncaster. He is also cup tied for the Champions League since he played in the Europa League. He isn't cup tied for the FA Cup.

Just because he played in the Europa League does not necessarily mean he is cup-tied for the Champions League:

According to Wikipedia (so it must be right!)

A further exemption applies: one player per club who would normally be cup-tied can be registered and eligible to play, so long as his previous club did not field him in the same competition. This means that players can represent two different clubs in the Europa League and Champions League, but only a maximum of one player per club. However, if the first club switches into the same competition (e.g. transfers from the Champions League to the Europa League through finishing third in the group stage), the transferred player becomes ineligible. This can lead to some complex situations.

Not to worry about that. According to the Guardian he's signing for United.

Okay, this joke is going on for far too long now, but you are incorrect in that he is not cup tied for CL as it's not the same as Europa.

EDIT: In case you didn't notice the other 2 or 3 who also wrote this. :D

Some hilarious postings on twitter of previous stories about United being favourites for players now at City. Aguero Otamendi Stones Jesus Kyle Walker and of course who can forget that the rags were favourite to land Guardiola!
