Just been reading that Pep wanted to get rid and the club blocked it. Thank God!
Aguero brother and father were the ones who slated baldy and they’d know the inside story better than anyone, since family talks are private - probably feelings that Aguero shared at home.
I always felt Pep didn’t like Aguero as he was OUR hero.
I miss him more than I’ll ever miss Haaland.

Pep is definitely struggling to rebuild without the players he had handed down to him, maybe if he kept out of the politics and concentrated on his day job he'd be better placed to do something about the decline in standards.
Left hammer+sickle-moon for a much better shade of blue :)

Nah , he needs time away from football as he looks burnt out.
We need a replacement this summer.

Reported on the BBC webpage that Pep is asking for a rule change so Guehi can play in the EFL final.
At a time when City are in the dock for ruling breaking and football have us pegged as privileged big spenders, he needs to keep shtum.

To be fair it is a piss take. Semenyo is allowed to play. Nypan is allowed to play. Why not Guehi?!

Disagree. Seems that there has been a long overdue change of mind-set from the club. Recent interviews calling out decisions. We all know that the red cartel and their media lackeys will continue to push their agendas against us so, for me, it's irrelevant what we say or do. The media already spin everything against us so fuck them, we cannot be hated even more, it's simply not possible as far as I see it. I'm behind Pep on this.

He is correct, it doesn't make sense. You change the rules to allow players to play for two clubs in the competition. However you schedule the semi final first leg during a transfer window and then say the player you bought in the window is ineligible. Makes zero sense! I understand if he was not registered in time to play, that's a different argument, but this is nonsensical.
The final is a different round of the competition. But they won't change the rules, they will double down and make sure Guehi cannot play, then they will relax the rule next season.

They don't know how handball works anymore. I would be very surprised if they could improve this rule.

City knew the rules, perhaps if we wanted him to play we could have push the transfer earlier? Might be be a timing quirk but some things you suck up. Push for a rule change in the off season

He wasnt registered in time. For this cup it should have been before the first leg was played, hence Semenyo gets in.

I get why he is ineligible for the semi final 2nd leg and agree with it. But why not the final?

To be honest i'd like a judgement to be announced. I think they should have been able to write a 20,000 word report by now
