Then again… I am a bit of a masochist

I can. Because I went through it first time. It was embarrassing and unenjoyable

Took my son to his first game against Chesterfield. I think it ended a 1-1 draw. A dire game and Goater missed loads. My son got up to go when the whistle blew for half time, thinking it was over. He was disappointed to hear he had another 45 minutes to watch

The PL schedules games for midweek when lots of children have school in the morning , or late evening saturday.

When the legacy tribal fan dies out it will be soulless, I take it on a game by game view we have Fulham next and I will be sat in my usual seat making a lot of noise whatever the weather or atmosphere.

Seats will be empty though, because we aren't playing the rags or the scouse the chavs or the tarquins, the games where the tourists come to either support the team we are playing against or to take the place of a legacy fan who had enough or got too old to go.

Solution?

More seats sold together cheaper.

Stop using official ticket touts.

More emphasis on young teens going with their friends etc

The club and football in general need to stop virtue signalling the match going fan with Disney message after Disney message most people think it's shit and they need to STFU, imagine living in a world where our owners get to moralise to Mancunians?

If we can not sell out a 61k capacity game, there is no need for tickets touts trying to flog tickets.

Having witnessed a scammer outside the ground, let us hope the ticket office can handle the rush for tickets on the day of the game

On a side note, what's your opinion about that fella that is not cutting his hair until rags win 5?

Piss aside, I think that is one of the type of fans that is ruining football. I think he was dreading last night they might win and he will lose all the momentum, but most of all the betting ads on his social.

I would be disgusted as fuck to have such a fan on our side. Can't blame the united fans who wanted to have a go at him a few months ago in the stadium.

Chances they will get 5 in a row are slow before the end of the season. Then he has to wait for August and the league to start again. You are looking at September before he can go to the barbers and that's if he is lucky.

Twat will look like cousin IT, but scruffier twat of a long lost cousin IT.

It's all got rather boring now. Some fucker will pin him down and buzz cut him in the concourse

Yes, but he’s a twat who literally earns money for this.

I saw he was live last night, Twitch or wherever the fuck he streams. The whole thing was packed with brand endorsements. You could see it on him: he was petrified that his momentum might fade, that the clicks and the sponsors might dry up.
I love a good bit of banter with the rags, always have. But this? This has nothing to do with the club. It’s not rivalry, it’s self-promotion dressed up as outrage.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I agree 100% with what Rooney said after the game. As much as football is rotting from corruption behind closed doors, these new-wave fans are just as responsible. The suits in the back rooms damage the game quietly. These clout-chasers do it loudly.

It's more a problem with society, PP. Why the fuck are people giving this cunt attention? He's a noncy looking twat that's from nowhere near Manchester. He's got a Budda belly and five chins.

Why are we so focused on someone like him and what he's doing? Why does he get so much attention?

Twitter or X (I still call it twitter) has assisted in creating idiots. Someone can pay for a blue tick and then create stupid opinions, start fights online, create pathetic content as they get paid to get clicks. It's feeding the ignorant masses.

I see some shite and want to call it out, but knowing that if I do that, I am helping them. Its gone from a very good funny platform to a platform full of toxicity and gets worse and worse now musk has allowed a no holds barred, everything goes, on there.

Social media platforms should be called social parasites.

As bad as Twitter can be, TikTok feels like the absolute pit of human depravation. I can barely even describe how low the bar is there. Working in communications with brands, I sadly see social media as part of the day-to-day, and it just keeps getting worse.

I ran a small football experiment online last year on a side project I have. I created a fictional footballer, built a fake story about how incredible he was, and then revealed he wasn’t real. The goal was simple: to test whether people would verify information from multiple sources and to ask them to do that with the amount of fake news here. The reactions were wild. Half the comments were positive, the other half asked for more details or tried to dig into the player’s history. Some insisted he was real, and even received private messages with threats.

It was a stark reminder of how quickly misinformation spreads, and how emotionally invested people can get in a completely fabricated story. I am dreading of what is coming next.

That's a pretty interesting experiment, also scary that the future of the planet is in those people's hands as they are likely to be 20 something's

Bluesky is an abomination of a platform with only one view and no other, it's an open advert for lefty liberal incels who would commit murder wholescale if their wrists were strong enough.

Loving our friends over on Ordsall Quays this morning. Running an in-depth analysis of our setup and tactics. Not as if lego head at the Arse is unaware of them.
May be wrong, but I don't recall any such analysis of any of the red shite teams previously. The Beeb. Should have just headlined the article "This is how to stop City" Sad bastards.
