Apparently we're in for Aurier in case the Walker deal doesn't happen. Personally, I think he's twice the player Walker is anyway.

PSG, where to be frank, there have been some unsavoury issues with his conduct and he was recently refused entry to the UK because of a criminal conviction. He is as described above in terms of ability, outstanding in all footballing departments and significantly younger than Walker.

Was in a row two seasons ago with PSG and suspended (I believe he either returned when we played him in CL, or was still out) after insulting Blanc (using homophobic language) and a few players (Ibrahimavic and Di Maria, included -- so maybe that will go over well with City fans lol) on social media (Periscope).

Im gonna keep banging the drum:

I really really hope Juve win today so Bonucci feels like hes gone as far as he can with Juve having won everything with them and feels, coming off a trebele, now would be the right time to leave...and come to City

I'm backing Juve anyway, but I believe there was some promise made by players to stay until they won the CL or something like that (Pogba reneged) but it might be what lets him come to us.

I'll go along with this sentiment.

Marcelo is still a top left back. Considering how great Alves has been at Juventus this year, is a cheeky offer for Marcelo worth a punt. Would obviously only be short term, a year or two at most but I think he could be awesome for us in that time

He'd spend most of his time on his arse in the Premier League, he doesn't like people going near him.

A lot of talk we've landed Van Dijk. Can't believe we'd pay him 200,000 a week though. I wonder where this leaves Kolarov. Kompany VVD Stones Otamendi. Don't need a fifth CB surely. With Mendy coming in as first choice LB that leaves Kolarov staying purely as back up LB where he's frankly not very convincing. Might be sold after all? Or will Otamendi go?

Manchester City have won the race for Virgil van Dijk (25) who will join from Southampton for £60m when the window opens. [Sunday People]

Van Dijk will become the world's most expensive defender when he joins City, signing a 5-year deal worth £200,000-a-week. [Sunday People]

How do these 'journalists' know he will be on £200,000 per week ??

Surely this is all phoney ??.......heaven let it be so.

For a centre half to be a top quality proposition Bob, I think he needs to be considered on the following merits :-

1. How dominant is he in the air ??
2. How good is he in the tackle ??
3. How fast is he ??
4. Is he a defensive organiser ??
5. Does he possess good leadership qualities ??
6. How good is he on the ball ??

I honestly don't know how many of these attributes VVD brings to the table although, in all fairness, I've not really taken much note of him in the past and it's only now that he's being linked to City that concern has kicked in.

I'd agree with that assessment in the main MC and the order they were in. I'd actually add "How strong is he and his well does he bully his opponent" in at number three. However, neither me or you pick the team sadly and the fella that does seems to place more stock on number 6 and almost ignores numbers 1 and 2.

Certainly VVD is a good player. Whether he is what we need I have serious doubts, especially at the sums of money mentioned

Above all that is positional sense and tactical awareness (when to dive in / when to stand back, when to give your full back cover / when to stay central, when to play it out / when to hoof it).

The 2nd one for me mate! Real Madrid could sign Nic as a replacement of Pepe and they could pay the right money to us indeed!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!
