I think maureen is trying to make it about him (what a surprise) versus pep. Lets face it pep has pissed him off big time with being er well better than him by a distance and maureen has been clutching at straws with the things he has tried to throw at pep via the media.

So in light of this he is trying to force pep to pay arsenal more for sanchez than he would like, with a 'cant lose' bonus of acquiring a top class player that pep has long been a fan of if pep digs his heals in and the player joins the rags.

What maureen may not realise is that 1) at 29 sanchez may well want trophies particularly the league and 2) he doesnt give a flying for maureen and just wants to play for pep as he has long since stated and 3) if he should join the rags its because city/pep have let him go there.

So sanchez's agent has a lot to gain in getting the best deal for himself... sorry i meant his client and the rags may be his preferrred option but if its the case that sanchez prioritises trophies then surely he will join city.

Just heard that on TS, that City had walked away with the Rags having put in a higher bid.

All this makes me smile and I await the end-game.

City walk away knowing that Sanchez will not sign for the Rags or anybody else.
The deal is done between City and Sanchez.
Arsenal make the call on when it happens - now or in the Summer.

All this talk of hundreds of grand per week are just another smokescreen and another stick to beat us with later. The mentioned 250 grand a week will include his signing on fee over the course of his contract.

However, imagine the Rags giving Arsenal 30 mil, his agents fee and then 400 grand a week? I wouldn't blame him for taking one last big contract but I have a sneaky feeling that Sanchez isn't just about money, he also wants glory, which won't be achieved with them.

I think we are now in a position of real strength with regard to players, no other club offers what we do, and we throw the rain in for free!
