We didn't pay £75 million for VVD because it was too much, can't see us realistically being in for Maguire at that price.

Interestingly, with Angelino we can use him as a HG player, but he's the 3rd LB (assuming we sell Delph) and I don't think we like to use up so many squad spaces on fringe players.

We will need another CB, as I don't think we think Garcia is ready to be it.

I think Garcia may well be our fourth CB next season. If Otamendi leaves we need another one. Spurs have done well to nail Ndombele. We’d better get Rodri now or questions will be asked.

Yep, joined Chelsea at 16 and has played in England since. I like him, and at that price it makes far more sense than the figures being bandied about for Maguire.

Would be a good signing IMHO.

He's decent in the air, but not great. He's also a bit on the smallish side, height and physically, which is what we will miss with Vinny gone and where we have been vulnerable.
