Imo this thread is symptomatic of the challenges we as a club face. With increased exposure and success we will inevitably attract support from far afield who have no previous attachment to our club. This is a fact. The question is, do we as as a community vilify and castigate these people, or do we welcome them as converts to the light?

Well if you ask me in this particular instance the guy got a massive amount of leeway as he was talking shit, pretending he could write english and going off on one at all and sundry about stuff he just didn't get and the mods seemed to just humour him. It was pretty obvious he was way out of his depth language wise, couldn't get any off the humour and yet took everything as an insult like some weirdo mosher with a serious need to be accepted. Most people are not so thick skinned wherever they may come from, so it is doubtful that new recruits to cityfans ranks would be so fucled up. CoMS has an average attendance of 46260 (source: BPL) which is planned to rise to 70k+ within next 3 years.
Amongst this resounding minority You are just a boot licker of those who used to hack private messages in order to establish a personal soft spot and need a Finn Stud or a Mexican primate to find some public support (eerrmm, nicknames’ hidden support)

I've stood up for Roger (although doubting him being for real for a while when he first started posted) and actually used to really enjoy his posts. With a bit of patience, plenty of humour and a bit of imagination, it's not all too hard to understand what he is saying. I agree that some posters might have had too little patience with him, but lately he's been acting quite badly. Mancio is very confrontational, it's almost exclusively he who starts bringing personal abuse into the arguments, he is very rancourous and simply won't let things go. I really hope he's father will be alright, but if he chooses to use this forum to blow off steam / take his mind off his family situation, he should be prepared for getting abuse back when dishing it out. That's my two pence, at least.

The village idiot in strict terms is a person locally known for ignorance or stupidity,[1] but is also a common term for a stereotypically silly or nonsensical person. The term is also used as a stereotype of the mentally disabled.[2] It has also been applied as an epithet for an unrealistically optimistic individual.[3]
The village idiot was long considered an acceptable social role, a unique individual who was dependent yet contributed to the social fabric of his community.[4] All societies eventually develop such a role, or force an individual into that role. As early as Byzantine times, the village idiot was treated as an acceptable form of deranged individual.[5]
