I'd like to see Balo get on the ball nearer the goal In fact, a bit more goal line pressure would be handy. Kolarov's delivery hasn't been very good and needs to improve.

Balo gets knocked over, gets a foul.
Micah gets knocked over, a foul against.

We should get Yaya on. Need a bit of drive in midfield.

Balotelli started well and looked a likely source of goals for the first 10-15 minutes.
Then he started to lose interest

Additionally, that right side prior to the goal saw their lads get plenty of space. We had 4-5 players in close proximity doing nothing., and we MUST close down quicker.

Have you seen SWP play in the last 2 years?

I've almost given up on SWP now. I always hope he can find the ability he used to show but he's shown repeatedly now that he just isn't up to it.

But we don't really have too many options on the bench! I'd probably bring Tevez on as he can get a goal out of nothing. SWP doesn't look like he can do that anymore.

(Obviously I want SWP to prove me wrong!!!)

TO me it looked like a situation he had to cut out, and maybe would;ve expected a blue shirt telling him either visually by presence, or verbally, that he was onit (kolorov), did he hesittae too much in your opinion?

I'm struggling to blame joe there is all.

Are you his mother?
Because thats the only reason you'd 'struggle' to blame him!

Carl, not entirely, Silva let the cross go, Kolarov was looking at the stars. While he should have got a finger on it, no one else was helping him. We don't have another option right now.

The cross was 2 yards from the goal line. If Given was in goal, that would have been too far out for him to come off his line.

It was just one of those things. The defence held the line, Sheva made a LOT of ground to get in position to score. Sometimes you just have to put your hand up and say well done to the attacking team.

Haha, he's driving like a wrtten off reliant robin at the mo.

Totally agree with the earlier comments re Garrido > Kolorov. My previously staunch faith in the guy's ability to sort it out is dwindling rapidly.

BUT! to be fair we carved em open a few times early in the first half. If we 'tire' second half it may become impossible. Start bright, make a mark and push on. Let's have it.

Anyone have a feeling this is a rehearsed delay by Balotelli to wind the opposition up?

Platt still has that annoying running style I see. Chest puffed, slap back. Nnnng.

Nice to see Mario could make it out for the second half.

I have seen him recently. I think the consensus reckoned he'd had a good performance in the derby around a month ago.
