Funny how this works isn't it. Media go with a story with no obvious source stating that Tevez is off before the parade. They then state that he is being forced to stay the very next day making out that Tevez is a little fucker for not wanting to stay. All too well wrapped for me.

From what I've read there were quite a few players and staff who had already booked flights, including Mancini, but have now had to change their plans - wasn't Vince due at the Belgian training camp, Zabs with the Argentina squad - to ensure they are on the bus today.

I'll think I'll just wait and see.

Maybe he booked his flight before the parade was organised, and was late ammending it? Someone in Arge working for the airline might have leaked info about the booking pre-ammendment, or someone he spoke to about the original plan might not have been aware of any change. I can't see him not being there to be honest, it wouldn't make any sense.

Tevez, like any of us, would have been keen to fuck off home as soon as possible once his holidays started. When he booked the flight, we probably weren't in the FA Cup final. The media are making out he's been warned that he has to stay or he will be fined. They then slip in the fact (in a snidey, bent, shitty, underhand, way) that ALL the players have had the same warning.

Thus, we can't accuse them of lying as technically Tevez has received a warning, just that they coose to seperate the fact that he's received it along with everyone else.

Whether he's there or not, this is designed to cause the maximum shit for our club, so even if he's done nothing wrong & is there celebrating with his team mates, they can inject a sour note into our celebrations. These people are cunts & deserve a fucking kicking imo.

Very true Ted, and this is why stories like this should always be taken with a very large handful of salt.

On a related note, I spend a lot of time away from home and a few years back I was on my way back from some shit-hole of a country after 3 months grind only for the lads to say we were going to stay a night longer so we could celebrate getting home and one of the lads birthdays. My answer was quite simple, 'Get Fucked'. I'm not one of those miserable twats who doesn't get involved, in fact I'm quite the opposite, but I'd not seen my kids and family for all that time and my priority and plans were to get back and see them.

It's all relative.

Carlos Tevez set to stay at Manchester City after Juventus snub

Carlos Tevez has rejected the chance of a lucrative transfer to Juventus - the biggest indication yet that he will stay at Manchester City.

An approach from the Italian club, who were in Manchester for Gary Neville’s testimonial, was made to Tevez’s representatives, who declined the offer. Sportsmail understands the offer was worth a staggering £20million a year to Tevez plus bonuses.

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta said: ‘We’ve built a solid base, now we’re going to put some big players in the team to return as a great club in Europe. All the players we’ve talked to would be glad to join Juventus. It means the club didn’t lose its appeal.’

It seems, however, that, while Tevez respects the rebuilding programme under way in Turin, he has refused to consider the option of Juventus, who have a history of taking players from England. Liam Brady, David Platt, Ian Rush and John Charles have all played for them.

Tevez now appears likely to stay at City and captain their Champions League challenge next season. That will thrill manager Roberto Mancini, who has flown to Abu Dhabi for talks about a transfer budget with owner Sheik Mansour. The close relationship between Tevez and his adviser Kia Joorabchian with the sheik is the key to keeping him.

Tevez has returned to South America to be with his family and is said to be discussing options with his estranged partner relating to access to his two daughters.

Juventus are flexing their muscles in the transfer market again and have around £100m to spend. Sportsmail understands they were prepared to put half of that into signing Tevez. Their next target is Sergio Aguero, of Atletico Madrid.

Andrea Agnelli, 35, is the new power behind Juventus and has declared his wish to restore them to former glories. Juventus finished seventh in Serie A, 24 points behind winners AC Milan.

Agnelli, who has personally overseen the approach for Tevez, saw the Argentine as the first step in the right direction. Tevez was joint top scorer in the Premier League this season with 20 goals as City finished third.

What a lazy piece of journalism on the whole, but let's look at one particular bit...

By that reckoning, we have a history of taking players from...
Italy:Bojinov, Dabo, Corradi, Bianchi, Balotelli.
Spain:Silva, Petrov, McManaman, Yaya, Sylvinho, Zabaleta, Robinho.
Germany:de Jong, Kompany, Boateng, Dzeko.

And so on....

It really is an awful article. Takes one generic quote from Juventus, adds that to the fact they're playing Man United, and concludes that they're trying to buy Tevez but he's rejected them.

I really wish I had a job where I could just make up stuff and get paid for it.

I admitted I was biased with regards him being in the team as I went fucking mental when he put in a transfer request..so yes..I was guilty as charged.
But come on....the guys fucking immense for us and we need him..noone can replace him..at least noone that I can honestly say will take off from where he left off on....so yes mate.. I'm fucking ecstatic hes staying.

When Carlos turns up and says he's staying I am still not sure I will believe it. I can fully understand he does not want to start again again with Juventus. FFs they might not even make CL football the season after next. Just cos he is not going there does not mean he is staying here. I hope he does though. Others could bring something different to the club but we have most positions filled. To replace Tevez would be bloody hard if possible at all.

I would love Carlos to stay and if he does great but it will take me a longtime to forgive him for his antics at Xmas. Showed a huge lack of respect esp to all us fans who have made him feel so at home. IMO he is out of the door this summer and i hope we get top dollar for him.

My gut feeling is that Tevez will stay.

Couple of points though:

1. Where have Juventus got a huge transfer kitty from all of a sudden? They've finished 7th in Serie A for the past 2 seasons and get average gates for 20-25,000.

2. With any speculation about Tevez - who can afford him in the world? Only clubs are Inter, Real Madrid and Chelsea. The latter isn't going to sign him after Abramovich spent 50m on Torres that leaves only Real and Inter.

Inter are in transition and Real Madrid under Jose will always prefer a Drogba/Adebayor style target man rather than a Tevez type figure whose not as tall.

Juve are owned by the Agnelli family who owned Fiat - it is not new ownership but they have decided to try and give the Old Lady new life with an injection of funds before the FFP rules come in. I reckon their timing may be rubbish though as they wont really have time to restructure their spending the same way the Sheikh will at City with us being in CL already.
