Shots on target, CIty 16, Stoke 0. Ouch. Also can't believe they had 36% of possession.

It's just a shame Fulham didn't put up the same sort of fighting performance that Stoke did.

If they had of done then they would only have lost 3 -0 instead of bending over completely taking a large barrel up their arses.

Useless cunts.

Oh come on mate. We took our foot off the gas. We could have absolutely battered Stoke tonight if we had wanted to.

Correct.

We've dropped points just once. Fulham last new year.

I think the players were under orders to save energy. We don't need to chase he goal difference. The way we didn't attack in the second makes me think we were told to control the game and stay fresh for the next match.

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis: "Manchester City are better than us, we'll take that one on the chin. It's one of best years from January to January in the club's history. We are striving to get better but it will take us longer than Manchester City because we haven't got £230m or £240m to spend."

I agree.....I just really really wanted to batter them out of sight (which we did football wise).

Very ordinary game for me and a total walkover. Some good football obviously and a lot of patience shown but generally an uninspiring game. Sort of just what we needed an easy win, a few goals and no threat or pressure at any time.

I don't have a problem with taking the foot off the pedal but I was confused that AJ was stuck out on the left wing for so long.

on that note...who has a linky poo to a 2011 calendar year fixture table? Surely we'd top that, right? i googled it but couldn't find anything after a minute or so of reading the results. Anyone know where to find one?

cheers

Thought that was especially pathetic. You'll never hear the twat saying that about certain other huge spenders of the last twenty years.

Wierd, I've just watch us win 3-0 and it feels like we didn't even play. Don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful for 3 points but I just thought the game was gash. Once I seen the flat-back 6 that Stoke adopted when we were on the ball I knew what to expect. This didn't just have an affect on the game, it also killed the fans off. The bit of humour near the end was just class though. I was expecting more from Pulis but I suppose knowing you ain't got a chance makes you choose strange tactics.

Hard work at first made easy once we'd got the opener. No one shot on goal from Stoke, never mind on target, would've left the thousand or so Stokies wishing they hadn't bothered.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".
