Disappointing result but we didn't deserve the win. We controlled the first half, without creating too many chances, and then just deciding to stop playing our game in the second half. Silva was very poor and should have subbed, same goes for Yaya. Milner had an off-day too. Mancini should have made different subs and earlier.

But...we're still top of the league and we weren't beaten. Need to ensure we get a result at Sunderland though as we won't get any favours from teams playing United as everyone just gives up against them before they've even kicked off.

Your obviously not watching ...Barry has been INSTRUMENTAL to our play over the last 10 fuckign games or so...Milner has been shite.

thank you, i have been watching ... I never said barry hasn't been excellent for us. But blaming mancini for shit selection just because barry didn't play against a shit side ... is letting many players who did not perform at all off the hook. Aguero could have put us ahead a couple times, silva fucked up countless passes and looked deathly afraid to take a shot. Milner didn't do anything and neither did Yaya. Balotelli came closest to making something happen, but got no service from anyone.

And that is all Mancini's fault because he didn't pick Barry? that's the point i'm trying to make ... That team we put out should be able to beat almost any team in the league. Yes barry has been amazing, but players have to perform. When no one turns up, there's not much mancini can do.

Yes there is something he can do..FUCKING SUB THEM FFS !! and not 10 mins before the end of the fuckign game.....Mancini always always always does this when its too late.

Im spitting fuckign feathers right now..

We're about level again on the head to head now imo.

Rags showed at Fulham how it would be something of a surprise for them to drop points in those places so our advantage is technically their visits to Chelsea/Spurs etc, but I will be shocked if either of those beat them & then we have to do our job at these kind of places. Our home game v the rags could be the crucial game in the 2nd part of the season as the away game is the only reason we are above them now.

That was a shithouse performance and the team deserve the bollocking they're gonna get. To top it of scum smash wigwam. The tide is turning....at least that's what they'll say.

Anyone think taking our foot off the gas vs stoke was still a good idea?

Bollocks..it didn't stop us when every other team has parked the bus and today was no different. Silva SHOULD have scored and played probably his worse game YTD for us.

Mancini did not make subs earlier and that seems to be his fuckign problem when we play like we did.

I'm not feeling too gloomy about that, surprisingly. Thought it would be a good result to eke out a 1-0 win, and it could have been worse. We need some fresh legs next time, though. Too many attacking players full of turkey and pudding.

Was the 30th games since we last failed to score in a domestic match, I really don't think we have a major problem to overcome...

He looked like "clueless Mancini" tonight and to be honest i forgot this figure. I didn't understand why he had rested Baz in a game that we need to keep the tempo up. Imho, Yaya was absolutly shite tonight. Didn't defend and had poor touch everytime the ball was at him.
Not a good day, but still the season is long. Frustrating though seeing that we play though fucking games, while our title opponets have friendlies.

PS: I haven't watched the Scouse game and the attidude that Rovers had, but i am almost confident they will sit and rollover next fixture. Last year they received 7 if i recall.

correct , what Mancini failed at today was making those subs on the 60 minute mark...and Barry should have started the second half.

The subs didn't do anything either though. We still lack a plan B or C & also without your mate Lescott we mostly have no threat from any kind of set pieces other than direct free kicks.

We've been so good recently that we've got away with just using plan 'A' but Napoli were nothing special imo & almost stopped us, as did Valencia until the death. Now WBA have played the same way & succeeded. In all those games though, we missed easy chances. The Goat would have scored the one Aguero had 2nd half. Not much the manager can do about that.

Roberto Mancini: "Today was difficult. We knew this before the game. When you a play a team with all players behind the ball at home, if you don't score in the first half it's not easy, you don't have any space. When we have a chance we should score but maybe we were too slow in the first half. It is impossible to score three or four goals for 38 games. There will be some moments in the year when you won't score. We did everything today and wanted to win, but couldn't."

you know what i'm bored to fucking tears of? i'm bored of every cunt on here saying "this is our year. we're winning the fucking league."

on today's display we don't have a chance in hell, and we've got a murderer's row of matches in January to contend with, league and cups alike.

Mancini better have lost his fucking mind and broken some shit in the dressing room today, because, all Mancini-bashing aside, today was about players not performing. I could smell the complacency all the way from here. Milner, Aguero, Nasri, Silva, Yaya...all shit performances sugar-coated with arrogant passing, and crap finishing. They all deserve a slap.

cheers

To be fair to WBA, they played well in the first fixture with Scum and had the same attitude they had today.

Welcome to a title race lads. You didn't think it was going to be a walk in the park did you? The baggies were well worth their point today. This was probably the most tense I've been at the end of a game this season, and I loved it, although I wish we'd have scored.

They were a banana skin alright.

In the first half I didn't think we played to Mario and Kun's feet enough. In the second half we just lacked the clear cut chance. Shoot Dave!!!

Top game, roll on Sundyland!

Well sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't but imo Silva hasn't been that good for weeks & that's what's missing. He's our Messi. Some games others have stepped up but today they didn't. AJ deserved to start today is my biggest gripe.
