There was a surge in the formation of supporters' groups from the late 1980s onwards in Bosnia (Robijasi 1988, Maniacs 1987, Horde Zla 1986, Fukare 1990) after Red Army Mostar formed in 1981. Although they'd existed throughout Yugoslavia much eacrlier (Torcidi c.1950- Europe's oldest supporters' club-, Grobari 1970, etc.), these weren't 'firms' in the modern sense, but supporters' groups. It's only from the late 1980s, with the social unrest, that these became violence-oriented.

Unlike you, I've been to games in Britain (probably around 300, at 20-30 different grounds, and in each of the top 7 divisions, as well as the Welsh Premiership), and can tell you that it is not 'like a theatre' at all. It may be in the Premier League these days, but our third and fourth leagues have much, much more passion and atmosphere (that isn't based on ethnic or nationalistic hatred, but on pure football support) than you will find at any league game in Bosnia (where I've been to about 15 games, in the top 3 divisions) except the Sarajevo derby (which has its numbers swelled by people who hardly bother to attend any game except that).

I agree it's a bit of a poor comparison when going on the size of the countries, but you were the one who first drew comparisons between the fans.

I've watched him since Teplice, and I know that this is only 50% of what he can actually do. Mark my words play him right and he'll be a world class striker in every meaning of that word. City in some games tend to skip the midfield n just kick it straight to him, and then what do you expect him to do? The game against Manchester United is a perfect example of what kind of game he likes, he doesn't need much space or many chances, all he needs is to be in a right position and he's deadly, but if the midfield is not able to provide him balls that he needs, he won't be able to do it himself, because like I said he's not capable of it. He's not a type of guy that will carry the whole team on his shoulders, in some games Bosnian national team did the same thing "just kick it to Dzeko" in most cases it wasn't successful, and then everybody blames him for performing bad.

I believe that if City players start playing like a team instead of individually, the team including Dzeko will perform way better.

@Mase
you're totally right, every player needs to be criticized if he's not putting any effort in, everybody knows that every player on earth has bad n good days, but at least what u can do is put ur heart out there and do the best you can, no fan can criticize that. Dzeko has not been playing with heart, and he has not been putting the effort, n that's the biggest reason every1 criticizes him so much. Idk what kind of relationship he has with the players or the coach, but he needs to snap out of it, and start playing, he doesn't have to score every game, but at least show that u want it, and that u're honored to be part of the team. I'm a fan of him and i will criticize him for that, but saying that he's a donkey and doesn't know how to play is silly, because I think he's not being played right.

I just used that game as an example of what he can do when u play him facing the goal. I know City was already up 3-0 and had an extra man on the field.

A good 20 mins with loads of space hardly helps your point. His only other good game was when he had space too v Tottenham.

QPR, Aris, Notts County. Also scored important match winning goals against Blackburn n Wigan.
Almost all of those goals came from inside the 18 yard box, so playing him outside the box won't help him score.

What on earth do you mean "his only other good game" ? Come on , give it a rest . Dzeko is a very good player , just like all of our squad. We've had a very hard month, not the eight games , but the teams and competitions. We've been deal some pretty hard decisions and situations ( bans , strange refs ) and yet people are persisting in bitching and moaning about the players.

We all knew it would be 'ard ( " 'arry speak " ), some on this site settled for second behind united at the end of January.

We are top, still playing great football and as players come back ,as it starts getting warmer, as we move into a less stressful february and march, watch City kick on.....

This thread is getting ridiculous with the constant bitching about Edin. The guy is quality, just like all of our squad.

I don't think anyone is questioning his ability - only his desire. His performance last night was a joke both in terms of effort and performance. We need players we can rely on between now and the end of the season. I see this in Hart, Micah, Kompo, Lezzer, Clichy, Milner, Barry, Yaya, Silva and Kun. Mario needs to get his head screwed on, Nasri needs to believe himself and Edin needs to stop acting like a half-arsed cunt. I don't care what 'type' of player you are, for 120k a week you pull your fucking weight.

Sorry, did he have a third good game? If so I have forgotten it = perhaps you could remind me which it was? i don't doubt he is a good player but he is soft and he doesn't suit the way we play.

There was a surge in the formation of supporters' groups from the late 1980s onwards in Bosnia (Robijasi 1988, Maniacs 1987, Horde Zla 1986, Fukare 1990) after Red Army Mostar formed in 1981. Unlike you, I've been to games in Britain (probably around 300, at 20-30 different grounds, and in each of the top 7 divisions, as well as the Welsh Premiership), and can tell you that it is not 'like a theatre' at all. I agree it's a bit of a poor comparison when going on the size of the countries, but you were the one who first drew comparisons between the fans.
