I've no idea but if a talent free zone like Savic can get work permit street legal surely this Nasty fella can??

That's what I thought but then I seemed to remember that he didn't get one automatically and we appealed (probably on grounds that he is capped"top young player" lol). That appeal process takes time though. Not sure if they grant those faster close to end of transfer window though.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

It doesn't matter, you chose this thread to pick on, Walcott, Sinclair, Nani...all thread you COULD have chosen, you didn't. And in a 6 page thread that looks to have actual substance you chucked your fucking toys out of the pram and had a tantrum. Whether it comes off or not now is immaterial, you are already NancyFinn, the boy who cried "no wolf".

believe that the deal can be done and dusted and he can be a city player, correctly registered and all that, before the work permit process goes through. Just in order to do the 'work', it needs to be approved. Of course I am speaking totally out of my ass at the moment, but i'm fairly sure this has happened at other clubs and the work permit decision was handed down several days after the window closes.

Again 100% out of my ass.

AH!!! But you DO get my point! Both Nani AND Walcott threads were started AFTER this one! You let tons of these threads go without making an exception then that's what you get.... board flooded with crappy rumour topics.

Sinclair thread is different though. Their manager (or was it first team coach?) admitted that we were deep in discussions with them about the transfer and Sinclair had basically backed his bags. That's not Gazetta Dello Sport or S*n or Racing Post but official involved in transfer. I do think that warrants a thread of it's own. And I know were are having a little chinwag here but being completely serious, I think this would've warranted it's own topic once it was posted on official Fiorentina page. I think that makes it legit. Until then it's all just rumours.

And honestly, without any wind ups or anything, if it's rumours people are looking for then Bluemoon IS better site than ours. In fact, sometimes when I have had time in the past I myself have gone to Bluemoon to read those rumour topics. In my opinion, what we are best at is serious discussions about factual matters. For what it's worth I think we are not only best City site but best football site out there for that sort of thing. I prefer to keep it that way. If I were some sort of Mod nazi, which some people love to claim, I would've locked or merged this topic. But I haven't, have I? Just made my opinion known, mostly as a regular poster rather than as a mod.

It's for another two days, and a handful of threads about various rumours is hardly flooding our boards is it? Would you rather a half dozen threads moaning about Kolarov, Hart, Kolo, Nasri, Dzeko, etc...cause after the last performance all these rumour threads have done is replace them. I believe BM actually have a transfer forum, IF it bothers you that much well speak to Andy and see what he can whip up...I'm sure our barely present lads wouldn't object.

You must remember that we tried the whole "transfer rumours" forum. It's just that people were STILL putting rumour topics on maine football forum. This has been slow summer so it hasn't been as bad as in past years, it has to be said.

P.s. I actually agree with you about numerous "this and that player is shite" topics but at least they ARE about current City players.

So if we signed this new guy and having Rodwell too, then there is no way we will have another midfielder like De Rossi, de Benfica lad and so on.

This lad is a centre back.

If DeRossi is available, we will sign him & worry about the rest later.

Yep,so we will have the 4 big boys on back, while Rodwell will go up, as a defensive midfielder as we were used and not as a possible centre back, like we thought earlier this week.

I think it's possible Rodwell could get the odd moment as a cb poss in a 3 in the cup or something but imo it's too early to risk in the Prem. It's more for the future.

I still haven't seen any official confirmation that Savic has gone. Until I do, I am restraining myself..

The lad from the link is the transfer boss of Italy, this is as close to conformation we will get until it is on the OS.

Shouldn't be long now.

So including all of this mornings activity and news ... so far this transfer window looks like this:

IN:
Jack Rodwell (Everton, £12m-£15m)
Scott Sinclair (Swansea, £6.2m-£8m)
Maicon Sisenando (Inter Milan, £2.5m-£4m)

IN THE WORKS, SO MAY COME IN:
Matija Nastasic (Fiorentina, £10m-£12m + Savic)
Javi Garcia (Benifica, £20m+)
Stevan Jovetic (Fiorentina, £20m+)

OUT:
Emmanuel Adebayor (Tottenham, £5m)
Adam Johnson (Manchester City £10m-£12m)
Wayne Bridge (Brighton, loan)
Vladimir Weiss (Pescara, undisclosed)
Greg Cunningham (Bristol City, free)
Stuart Taylor (Reading, free)
Gunnar Nielsen (released)
Owen Hargreaves (released)

MAY STILL GO OUT:
Stefan Savic (Fiorentina, part of Nastasic deal)
Roque Santa Cruz (Malaga, £4m)
Nigel De Jong (AC Milan, £3m-£5m)
John Gudetti (Various, on loan)

NOT HAPPENING:
IN: Agger, De Rossi, Walcott
OUT: Dzeko, Kolarov, Kolo Toure

Looking at all the above ... I think OUTs this windows were probably more exciting than any INs.

Was always going to be the case. However I am delighted with our work shifting the deadwood this summer. Easily the most important thing we needed to do.
