Maicon.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Maicon did ok for me. He made some shit mistakes but no more than Vinny & Nasty. All had a tough job to try & gel amongst that lot when they barely know each other.

Sending out a scratch team at the Bernabau is unfair on the players involved.

He looked old and slow tonight in my opinion kinda wondered why we had signed him in the first place with us having Micah and Zaba

May well prove me wrong and roll back the years but my prediction is that he will be dog shit

Heres hoping I'm completely and utterly wrong as he was world class

Thought he was bad in the Stoke game and tonight.....and I thought he was bad before halftime tonight, so the goal scoring had nothing to do with my opinion of him. We need Richards back.

How the hell was this fatso starting over Zabaleta. Zabba is better player. As is Micah. And you are substituting your fucking rightback because he doesn't have fitness to last full 70 minutes. He was fucking dead against Stoke as well and both Stoke and Real were pressing up. He has been playing in Italy, where no team presses up, for too long.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I agree with the last comment that picking Maicon was wasting a substitute & a stupid idea.

I don't actually think he was any worse than most defensively, including Zabba, but Vinny knows Zabba better, & if he'd started the game, we could have doubled up that area at the death with Milner or even Maicon coming on in front of Zabba & perhaps got a draw or even a win. It's rare the tranny beats two players but he regularly beats one.

Bob really fucked up all over the place last night. Nasri & Nasti were bad mistakes too imo.

Maicon needs a proper pre season he shouldnt be allowed to touch a ball for two weeks and needs to do laps of the pitch,10k after 10k after 10k what has he been doing in pre season at Inter eating lard?
He needs to get a bit of the Tevez diet in him.
If he starts against Arsenal Carzola will make mincemeat out of him i better Wenger is rubbing his hands in glee at the thought of his pacy wingers attacking him.

I'm hoping that Bob is going to do the opposite of his usual tactical/selection disaster v Arsenal & for once just go out with our strongest team & beat them, rather than concentrating on trying to out-manager Wenger.

They were actually worse defensively than us last night. They are shite.

Never been his strong point.

Why anyone would put him up against a winger with no support is perplexing.

Definitely the wrong choice for me last night

Maicon needs to be played at home against lesser opposition

He was torn a new one

Maicon has never been able to defend.

You play him at home against teams who come and park the bus. Very suprised that he was picked last night where everyone knew who he would be up against.

I would say he looks shot to pieces but he was against ronaldo who took the piss all night.

Im sure he will do ok against lesser teams but it was stupid to pick him last night, should of been zabba all day long.

I actually think he did ok given he was up against Tranny and it was only his second game...

Feel given time he could be decent for us.

He looked knackered to me. Looked ok against stoke but he was mainly going forward in that game and was guilty of being a greedy twat.

I doubt he would of been much use against tranny even if he was fit though the guy is just stupidly talented or a shit diving pre madonna with no skill whatesoever. Depends if you can see or not.

Luxury player. Slow, fat and cant defend. 3rd choice after Micah and Zabba.

Ok for home against lesser opposition.
