Not sure who works in our scouting network but how come we never spend 6 mill on some young kid like Alli. He is the real deal. I know Liverpool pretty much had him and stalled over a small amount of money and Spurs nipped in. What were Liverpool thinking.

Patrick Roberts?

Will he get a chance though??

An odd one. He is at Celtic next season as well. Maybe if he does well, Pep may give him a chance to replace Navas, assuming he is still with us. But you are right. There is little chance of us giving a player like Ali or Roberts or Iheanacho a long run in the team. Perhaps our higher aspirations than Spurs mean we have bigger pressure to deliver results so we are less likely to invest time in youth. Be interesting to see if spurs or rags both play as many young lads next season.

I for one am hoping Pep will take a punt on a young lad or two next season. That is what we built the Academy for after all

There's only a year between Alli and Sterling. Just saying.

Agreed. But we bought Sterling as an England International with 40/50 games for the dippers under his belt. He had been a regular PL starter for two seasons. Ali was an unknown from league one.

Well I'm at Brisbane Road and the Plymouth fans are here in strength but the home area is looking a bit like the Stretford end in the 6-1.

The Orient fans turned up and it's a reasonable crowd now. Orient on top for first ten minutes, then Argyle came into it and hit the bar after 18. Went a bit dull but then Argyle scored in the second minute of added time and just about deserved the half time lead.

I'm not getting good vibes from you lit's comments on our game.

It fInished a deserved 3-1 to Plymouth at Orient. Orient's goal was a penalty, if they'd missed it would have been their sixth missed pen in a row. I'm now back in the pub in Limehouse having a London Pride next to some Chinese girls. Luckily the music is turned up and I can't hear what Pellers is saying on the TV.

Assume there must have lots of traffic delays in Salford tonight. Lots and lots of empty seats at the swamp. Even the BBC have mentioned it and posted a picture!

Meanwhile, in Spain Barca show la Liga up for the overall poor league it is by smashing 6 away from home. Suarez with four. Valencia don't look to be missing Ratboy much as they are on their way to a third win in four since they fucked him off

Fucking dippers winning as well.

Gaz Baz making a record equalling 571st PL start tonight. Well done. Little known stat, he has more assists than the ginger pig. Also the most yellow cards 109 I think

Looks like rags will be just two points behind us now. Palace will have one eye on the cup semi now. Though we have a much better GD which is worth the extra point

I know he is young but Stones makes more defensive mistakes than either Mangala or Otamendi. No thank you to spending another £40+m on an unproven PL centre half
