Fern made a great cameo appearance last night.

Rodri was struggling in the second half, kept giving the ball away.

Fern was the right sub to bring on. Made some great challenges and made us a bit more solid to see the game out.

Fern gave those pricks a bit of their own medicine.
Him and his steel will be sorely missed in a modern game now full of love hugs and kisses.

He was brilliant last night, wasn't he? But I can't see him play a full 90 min game at this intensity, sadly.
Not just how he plays, but how he knows to break the game when needed. Noticed yesterday he went down at least three times.

He will be missed.

Bernie was suffering physically in the second half. Finally pulled back into a double pivot with Rodri. Arguably Fernandinho should have come on earlier. He was very effective when he did. Good case for Fernandinho getting an hour at Wembley. We can’t go on riding the same horses again and again. The Brighton match on Wednesday is arguably more important than the match at Wembley.

He did.
He brought leadership, steel, encouragement, dark arts and disrupted the game's flow.
Massive input.

He did do these things but he also presented Atletico with a few chances, one a back header that was never on put us under severe pressure. Love Fernandinho but his time as a player for us is over.

That's exactly how i saw it, the back header was horrendous in stoppage time and at one point he was outpaced after having a 2 yard start.
He's been an unbelievable servant and I'd love him to captain us last game against Villa if we've already won it but otherwise it has to be few minute cameos now.

Absolutely amazing. Brought a tear to my eye reading it.

He gets us. One of the first things he said to Haaland on the video was how special this club is.

The fact it was down to him that we won the league two season ago - getting the players together and holding a meeting with them. He deserves a statue but won’t get one because of the position he played.

I'm a bit surprised that so far, Merlin hasn't graced the Etihad.

We will miss fern - how many games have we been getting clumps kicked out of us by thuggish players until fernie gets on and shows them how it’s done? I fear we don’t have anyone with that sorta bite that rival players fear now

He will be missed, not only on the field but in the dressing room as well.
Legend.
