I'm not convinced. England showed some maturity in the second half to take the sting out of the game, but couldn't string 2 passes together. It was a proper game though.

I heard Southgate had asked Pep along to see if he was implementing the changes he's made in the right way. Pep gave him the second stage and this time wrote it down on a tissue so he wouldn't forget it, but once again, Southgate blew his nose at half time.
