Ake que been absolute shite at the back - heads the ball straight to them more times than I can remember .

We need a left back asap .

Dias just sauntering vaguely after the dipper there as he heads it into the net.

We just made Nunez look world beater, feel sick listening to mutant jizzing.

I'm not worried, we're rusty and they're ahead in fitness.

If we’d put out a mix of first team and kids and lost then fair enough. But we’ve put out a near full strength team.

I’m not massively worried as we lost to Leicester this time last year and still smashed the Prem. But fuckin hell I hate losing to these twats.

We need stones back there and pay the 50m to Brighton. I don't mind Ake covering LB but he's not good enough CB

Excellent run out for some seriously rusty legs.

We have some player in alvarez.

Haaland not on fire after 40 mins of pre season worries me not one iota.

Here we go again lads

They had 2 games ahead of us in pre-season. I'd call that underprepared by Pep. Asking fans to pay 55 quid and see what should have been a bigger mismatch based on fitness is not good at all. I just dint get it. 2 games and fucking about in cowboy shops? Fuck off.

City really did well until the penalty, which was shit by Dias. Well be ok and well in the mix but giving them a 2-game head start is nuts. City put 5 past Milan a few years ago, pre-season, because we were a couple of weeks ahead of them. 5 in the first half, I think. It's huge at this level. WTF turning up so rusty?

That was Liverpool’s 5th game. That was our 3rd game. They looked fitter and sharper.

The main positive is that most of our usual starting 11 got plenty of minutes against a good side.

Not sure. Dippers have gone early whereas Fulham are similar to us in only playing a couple of friendlies. We used this as a conditioning match and I’m hoping he’s not looked at Bournemouth and thought the same as they’ve had plenty of practice.

Exactly, mate. Liverpool made pre-season early in order to beat us. We, on the other hand, treated it for what it is, a pre-season friendly that makes a few quid for charity.

Nice to see them get a run-out.

It worked out pretty much perfect imo.

Winning is lovely obviously, but dominating the stats like we did in the last friendly, with so many players having little or no pre season, whilst giving the dippers a massive sense of false security is lovely.

We were in charge after the dipper goal. But agree that Ake was poor. Nowhere near the dominance of Laporte who many are quick to criticise

Best sign Pau Torres pdq

I agree, we can't be left short this time.

When this front line clicks though... my god. The movement from alvarez.
