Semenyo is currently nowhere near the level required against elite sides like PSG.
He gave the ball away 3 times in the space of 15 mins - his final pass in tonight’s game was terrible overall - very disappointed.

He needs to sort it out.

I am really on the side with Father Ruben.
He has become extremely inconstant, last night he was beyond words, deja vu of Sunderland. He was turned inside out, nowhere near.

But then you look at him on Sunday, he was monumental, a rock. He was every single one of us after Erling scored and he said to the boys "now we go on an destroy them".
Exactly what a captain should do.

Captain level, he is close to Vinnie, but man he is becoming a jolly joker. You have no idea what side of Ruben you are going to get.

Don't disagree in the main, he has been largely shit for some time now with murderville last week being an exception. What did not help last night was we were so exposed in midfield one pass between the lines and they were in front of our back line
Added to the strange fb selections and we were torn apart. That first half was tactics 101 against us, press when Donna has the ball only leaving Dias as an out. Lost count of the times Donna turned the ball back over to them and they were straight back at us. Noticeably different after the changes so hopefully, a lesson learned.

We were like a different team after the changes he made at half time so fair play to Enzo for seeing what needed to be done and having the conviction to make the wholesale changes needed.

Was excited to see Cherki in the flesh for the first time last night but he was a total passenger.

Bouaddi has to start against better teams to make us more solid and also free up Anderson to be more effective too.

Feel we can be unstoppable with those two working in tandem.

Just watched the highlights - their last goal.... what the fuck is that?! That's not unlucky, his hand was positioned weird and caused it to go in

Anderson js absolutely class. I didnt expect him to be THIS good. Everywhere. Leader. Brave. Aggressive. Calm.

The moment where hes in their corner skinning 3 players. Wow.

He was brilliant last night, Bell-esque. I enjoyed that skinning towards the end.

A very entertaining game. could have been 5-5 , 5-7, 7-4 7-7 so many good chances for both teams. At least the real City turned up in the second half.

Ndiaye needs to be mentioned again - that guy was everywhere and yes, he often loses it after beating his tenth man !!, but he gets us out of trouble and gets the ball up field..............his effort and speed is huge for us.

Loved watching him play last night.

Agreed. Maybe quilty at Murderville last Sunday of trying too hard which affected his performance (saw there was a clip of him getting pelters in the tunnel & he's given it toffees to the murderers) but that game aside, he is such a good dribbler and takes us up the pitch. Did very wellwhen he came on last night contrast that to Semenyo who lacks composure and seems to have a really heavy touch on him at the mo.
Great that we have options AND a manager who utilises them at the right time.

Kind of reminds me of early Kanchelskis with his pace and directness

And think he could get even better WHEN finally Maresca will be deeming Bouaddi ready for regular starting. Then is when I expect we shall see Elliott completely Bell-esque.
What a bargain and what a fantastic transfer window Hugo have engineered.

That's why, on the your favourite team thread, I DARED saying he should be in contention for selection rotating with Doku and Cherky.
Let's also not forget he's young and not the finished article, hence he can have lackluster games, but the qualities that you have highlighted above are there to be seen.
Moreso in the Maresca system that provides for wingers able to stretch defenders wide the box.
