Just curious, but why do we loan them out and not in the Championship? Do we have anyone there that plays?

Barker was loaned to Rotherham last season. Jack Byrne is gone to Blackburn on loan this season. Emyr Huws had stints at Birmingham and Wigan before he was sold to the latter. I'm sure there's others.

Apparently Barker is training with NAC Breda ahead of a loan move there. I've never seen him show anything at the senior level that would suggest he'd break into our 1st team but good luck to him.

He will also go on loan to Deportivo la Coruña in La Liga.

He's played for Colombia 7 times so not sure if that is enough to get a work permit but seems like it should be enough. If not I think if you play in Spain for 2 years and you come from South America you can get a work permit to play, but if he keeps playing for the national team we will have an easier time getting it anyway.

I suspect a lot of this has been about his hope that Real Madrid will come in for him at the last minute, but they are apparently going after Sissoko instead, for now.

I heard some saying Costa played with Simone so he should work well under Conte, but Mourinho,who may not be as player friendly, has a similar intense approach and that fell apart when they seemed a match made in heaven with their behaviours.

Costa seems a worse hand grenade in the dressing room than Anelka to me. I'm sure he wants shut of him as soon as possible. I also suspect though, that everyone in Spain is having a little snigger and wont touch him with a bargepole. Atletico will be laughing all the way to the bank.
