Im angry.

Our team with the players we have should be able to destroy opposition like Aris. It's just not good enough.

I had an awful feeling Mary Castillo would nick one at the end to top off a shit night, thankfully that never materialised.

Such a dissapointing result but you would hope we will turn up on the night at home and progress.

At least Marios back.

Destroying them was never ever going to happen and that was obvious from the first minutes when they set up just to defend. They have a very good home record in Europe for a reason.

You can get lambasted for saying that, but at times, I've honestly felt like there was little difference in approach play between Pearce's City and Mancini's City.

Its just that it makes it more frustrating because we have all the money and talent we could ask for, instead of splashing out 3.5m for a partnership of Vassell and Cole.

We should turn them over at home though, no problem.

I'm trying to stay positive. They did not threaten at all and our back line looked comfortable. We will get chances at home, that is certain. and at home we will take our chances. We will progress. CTID

No away goal - piss poor with our strikeforce - you know they´ll notch one next week so we´prolly need 2 or even 3 at home. We have to steam into them at pace from the off and draw them out by scoring early - another disappointment frankly

What a load of shit. No pace or cutting edge to the forward play. Im still unsure of just how long we have to waite before we can put crap teams like this to bed. How those lads can keep spending that sort of money knowing that this is the standered of play is beyond me, but fair play to them.

don't good teams turn over marginal European opposition on away soil? it's not like we just struggle SOMETIMES with certain teams. We struggle mightily with pretty much anyone in this competition. And that team we put out there was pretty much our first team.

Didn't Mancini get sacked from Inter for getting facefucked in the CL? Just sayin.

cheers

I wouldn't go that far, Mancini can play boring at times but i'm confident he knows what he's doing.

No need to worry until Mancini starts consulting stuffed animals on tactics... then worry.

Destroy may not have been the best choice of word.My thought pattern is not yet rational.I would just expect more against a mid table Greek side. They have a very average home record in a poor league this season W5 D2 L5.

Yes but apparently they park the bus at home in European competitions with great effect, and no one can break them down. You could spend another billion on City and we'd never win that match if you believe all the hype and bullshit.

cheers

To be fair they might be mid table opposition but they were always going to play up today.

This was like their cup final.

I would be pissed to no end if I had been one of the City fans travelling to that game and had to watch such a shitfest.

I cannot believe that we can play so shit against such a crap team... why do we always seem to lower our performance to match the opposition?
so now as every enemy circles our city

It's a strange truth. We seem to look at the opposition and if they are supposedly lesser than us, we basically just don't turn up. Treating it almost like a practise game. Madness.

Stating that it was a cup final to them is just an overused excuse for us being below par against opposition we shoud be beating.
