If he gets fit it'll be super and I know there are United fans who thought he was nailed on for them at one point so the fact we got him is a nice little bonus.

And I don't think Razak will make it either.

You should have missed something, recently, Mate.

Please explain, without pushing your agenda further

You can just make up your mind by browsing the forum. You'll find my agenda and the others' there.

If I humbly can drive You on the right direction I'll start reading from this thread

and then moving towards those ones

don't take it hard. I'm in horrible mood tonight

What's the point you're making? People don't want us forking out money?

Well guess, we're the world's richest club. People are going to take us to the cleaners because they can. The sooner that's accepted and transfer fees aren't dwelled on the better off we'll be.

Mate:
a) I am not secretary to You
b) I don't want to make up my agenda on Your mind.

I have given the fishline to You, now it's up to You, reading and assess Your own opinion.

Sorry for Wasting some dreams but De Rossi will never leave Rome.

In Italy they're saying NDJ already signed Inter.

In my opinion, welcome Rodwell, shit to Marwood, we really need a Central defender, Joleon not enough reliable for Champion's League

Sorry for my English

Xavi,
I think Mancio is referring to the constraints on our free spending because of FFP compliance. Couple that with the fact that we have a £146M deficit to rein in. Hope that helps.

...and is Mancio blaming Marwood for this? I totally don't get his anger at all.

Perhaps it's worth remembering that during the Leslie era FFP was just a spectre on the horizon. The focus was purely to get quality players in. We had no winning pedigree to offer to players so paying overs was all we could do to get them on board.

Well, I'm glad the lympics is over and we are signing players. Oh, hang on. I'm glad Mancini kicked up a stink and we are signing players. Right Doomy?

Not exactly De Rossi is it? From talent or needs point of view this is weird transfer but I assume we are under one of the homegrown quotas so probably desperately needed to find English player. Rodwell has never really impressed me but from pure raw talent point of view maybe they see something to work with?

Point is though that Mancini was looking for world class addition and Marwood brings him Rodwell.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Can't see us bringing in any 29 year-olds though Antti unless they are out of contract or on the cheap. With FFP we need transfer fees to be spent on players that are worthy of long contracts and even beyond that contracts that that are likely to be extended and/or have a decent residual sale value. We might be interested in De Rossi or RVP but we won't be willing to pay big money on transfer fees for them.

It's madness, not to mention the likes of Razak Swarez etc coming through, they hgaven't a hope in hell.
He's a good player but nothing great.

We still might lose Nige by the end of the window, Barry and Yaya are not so young any more so room in a season or two for our youngsters. Midfield was a priority this summer (so was defence though).

He could be groomed as a defender.

Interesting scenario. I think Rodwell has the attributes to turn into fine central defender given time. As central midfielder he doesn't really have necessary ball skills or vision for me.

What JackRod said in his interview was they were talking for weeks but that it just heated up in the last few days. Obviously in prep for the Olympics closing ceremony. Duh!

I like the signing. I don't think Mancini does tho.

This, amongst others in a similar vein, from toffeweb - Rodwell is Good enough for England... not good enough for Everton.

Mancini will get the best out of Jack – unlike Moyes who should have gone this summer.

I know mate but Marwood doesn't write the cheques so his beef with him is misplaced.

With FFP, if we're going to spend big we need to do it now before it kicks in properly, and buying a 21 year old England international make much more sense than a 29 year old Italian long term.

Technically he does. I mean sure, Khaldoon puts his name under the actual checks but it's essentially Marwood who negotiates the deals. I have hard time believing that his hands would have been financially so tied that he wouldn't have been able to make deals for players Mancini was looking for had he been succesfull in negotiations.

I fully understand Mancini's frustration. I mean he and the players have been doing their bit bringing in silverware. So far all Marwood has done is play Football Manager with unlimited funds-cheat. They are starting to look at least SOME value for money and Marwood is now completely unable to close.

Mancini has been saying for weeks that we were trying to sign some good YOUNG players who can grow into the squad & that he wants to get them in now & teach them for the future.

We have just done EXACTLY what Mancini said we are trying to do & people are moaning about it.

Sack Mancini then; it's his plan.

Before whinging for the sake of it, why doesn't everybody actually read what Mancini says instead of what the stirrers in the press tell you he says ?

I said on here weeks ago that there would be some 'under the radar' signings. If Mancini has his way, there will be more.

Btw, if Marwood is getting stick for not signing Martinez, how shit must the guy at Barca be ? Seeing as Martinez actually wants to sign for them & they still haven't got him ? What the fuck is the guy playing at ? And which wanker is in charge of Real Madrid's transfer dealings ? Modric is desperate to go there & they can't close the deal ? Surely all these people must be sacked ?

I'm happy with this signing. No it's not the "headline" signing we've probably all been waiting for all summer but he's a good young English player with bags of potential. Welcome to City Jack.

who is getting pathetic over the top, Mate. Now is Mancini, that has spent 2 and half season to clean out all the overinflated damaged stuff that had been brought by this Clown before he was in charge, have found some room to win an FAC and a League title in the meanwhile, WHO IS TO BE SACKED??? FFS, get real and stop putting Your EGO ahead of the Club sake!
MANCINI PLANNED TO BUY RODWELL??? MANCINI asked and agreed with Owner and Chaiman, for two consecutive seasons, players Marwood wasn't able or, as I start to consider, didn't even want to sign. This bloke is DUMPING the Manager work with his very limited abilities and, possibly, pursuing his very own idea of primitive football. I have been followed the making of Roberto Mancini's idea of football since he was still playing on the picht and I can assure YOU, as a professional of the Insurance Industry, that neither AJ, nor James Milner and DEFINITELY not Rodwell are Mancini's choice.

Your point is untenable, Mate: this bloke is not a sporting director, nevermind a senior one for the use of a world leading Club.
And I tell You what further: Khaldhhon could have been sidetracked by all the countless responsabilities that he holds on behalf of ADUG, reveled in the surface appearance that everythings were getting right according to the project in the Technical Area, because of Mancini success on the pitch and the good job that this smart looking bloke seemede to undertake by opening new accademies in third world countries. Hence perhaps he have just focused his busy attention on just the Financial Area.
But being Khaldoon the excellent, hyper-qualified professional in which You are not the only one to trust, he won't take very long to realize the metastasis that the job of this untutored, cluless clown his speading in the Club.
Let's just hope it won't be too late and it won't end in tears with City back to square one.

I did promise to stop it, but You are the one who plays the inflamatory game: that is not the Ted Hughes we all admire, rate and respect for his utter football competence and endless love for the Club. And I also think the You are too much of a smart mind to let your ego prevail up to ridicule.

with my deepest, unchanged, respect and appreciation,

cheers
