I enjoyed most if your post, but this bit I can't agree with. Mancini's CV wasn't just founded on his time at Inter there was success beforehand at Fiorentina & Lazio with the latter progressing well in UEFA Cup. On paper Mancini looks like a better manager, in reality I hope that that isn't the case otherwise we're going to have a revolving door policy thrown at us

I am afraid we will have to agree to disagree over this one. His spell at Villareal tops anything on Mancini's CV even now.

This!

If the powers that be are going to sack Mancini and appoint Pellagrini there is fuck all we can do about, moaning at each other on a forum or whatever else!

I'm as disappointed as all of you but you have to admit there has been some serious issues this season. I just want whats best for the club and if this is it so be it.

Yeah the way they have turned us from relegation candidate to league and FA Cup winners is hilarious.

If he goes lad are you going to? If not why not sign up for Blue Moon I think you will fit in nicely over there.

Also how long have you supported City? Interested to know. :-)

Ridiculous comment.
Bobby is not losing his job because of the results (although they have not helped).
He is losing his job because of his repeated criticism of the board over last summers missed signings, his public criticism of his players (Hart, Nasri and Kompany for starters), his stubborness in sticking by Ballotelli, his determination to stick with this 3 at the back formation but more than anything else he does not fit into the way the new management want to work. They want to buy the players and have the manager work with what they provide.
Bobby would never accept that. Pellegrini is more used to working that way.
Fans are slating Pellegrini because he is not a name. He will not excite the press, he will not sell papers - why? Because he will just get on with the job. They say he is understated but through that he gets respect.
I think bobby has lost respect from players and board (not fans) and that is why he is going. The results dont help but they are not the main reason.

Pellegrini's CV is impressive & missing one thing - a trophy or two.

Looks like our new manager, like that lot across the road, will be starting with a clean slate. In a comparison of the two, Id be happier with Pellegrini.

Roberto Mancini has given me the best 3 years of my City supporting life, and history will look kindly on his tenure with us. For that I am forever grateful.

How many youth team players has Mancini given a good run in the team in his 3 and a half seasons here? I am really struggling to name one.

Given our investment of in the academy and our requirements to meet FFP I would say it is vital that we start seeing some EDS players in our squad soon. Take WBA the other night for example. Practically a pre season friendly. I understand we needed to win but there was not a single EDS player on the bench four days before a make or break game in our season.

I appreciate that our EDS players may not be up to the standard required for a Premiership challenge but the season has been all but over since January.

I think the EDS thing is a different issue, if theyre not ready or good enough then thats that. Anyway.. I'd rather they carried on developing than become shit and unmotivated under Mancini.

BTW worked out who Pellegrini looks like.....

Pellegrini.

Villarreal - 5 seasons - 1 inter toto cup.
Real Madrid - 1 season - FUCK ALL.
Malaga - 2 and a half seasons - FUCK ALL.

Career win percentage 49.72%.

He has won fuck all. Never won anything in Europe apart from a " too shit to play in the Europa league" cup. Hasn't won a single domestic trophy in Europe.

If we let Mancini go I will be very fucking fucked off. He doesn't deserve sacking just because certain members of our team have decided to act like knobheads and half arse this entire season.

I don't give a shit what people say about him managing their fragile ego's. If they can't be arsed when they step onto the pitch, every time they step onto the pitch for every minute they are on the pitch then they can fuck off and mancini can stay, soft cunts. There is nothing he can do when they are on the pitch if they don't WANT to put the effort in.

How do you explain his failed efforts in the CL, his constant bickering with our players, constant moaning about lack of transfers, poor tactics?

Klopp had won nothing before he was hired at BVB. Look how it has turned out.

Pellegrini has won "Fuck all" at Malaga because look at the fucking squad, the dominance of Real and Barca, their financial issues..but he got them further than Mancini got City this season in the CL. He didn't win La Liga at Real because Barca were really good.

He hasnt won because he's managed teams with poor squads, for the most part, or managed squads going up against a behemoth (or two).
Neither of which he will experience here...i'd be interested to see what he does with some money, a good squad, and with a club that is actually competitive in their respective league.

and yeah, look at Klopp. finally someone said it.

but i'm still down for whatever the board does.

So basically we want a manager who has won the league in a respectable league and a European cup.

Shouldn't be a problem then. There are literally hundreds of them unemployed at the moment.

I bet if Jose turned up tomorrow morning the same people would moan about his style of football or his disruptive influence at other clubs.

I've waited for this moment for the last few years; to see the back of Ferguson and City in pole position to take over as THE club most likely in the premier league.

I feel that if Pellegrini is appointed it's purely in the hope that we see some achievement in Europe but we are all agreed the CL is a nebulous thing. My opinion is that we were especially unlucky with the draw this season but what's the chances of having a tough group again next year?

The prem is our most important competition I feel the current coaching staff virtually guarantee us a top 2 finish again next year. If they are replaced there is a good chance we will go backwards in the prem. BE careful what you wish for!
