Didn't see his interview but just read a quote from him saying he was close to subbing Coutinho, when asked how close? He said 10 minutes, the goal was scored in the 85th min.

The same report I read gave Coutinho a 9/10 and described his performance as "mesmerising". Complete and utter bull, he was poison.

One final thing, the reporter also says Butland didn't even get close on the goal. Again complete and utter bull, he actually got to the ball, it hit the ball joint of his thumb, good strike that it was Butland should've saved it.

Thought that this morning when I saw it. You'd be disappointed in your goalie with letting that in. Not top corner and got a reasonable hand to it

This should certainly be considered as frivolous appeal and the punishment doubled ... but will any of us really be surprised if they overturn it just in time for him to face us on Sunday?

Quite stunned that they'd even try it. I'm sure it'll give their back-up a lot of confidence!

Maureen's a prick and if the heat comes, he'll be going earlier than last time. Excuses in early even though he got his fortune last season.

Horrible to be restricted, and not by FFP either.

T'wat!

Cue meltdown and toys thrown out of the pram by Mourinho in next press conference. Whilst Pellegrini just concentrates on giving fuck all away and gets on with the job in hand

Cannot believe he didn't get an extra game for frivolous appeal. What's that fucking rule even for if this goes unpunished?

The yanks get cheerleaders etc, she was about the only eye candy in footie, I for one will miss her :-(

Maureen on the other hand I'd love to see him have a melt down before getting the boot from the oiligarch.

He's also (according to Guardian) banned her from "entering the team hotel". Do we need a new doctor as guess she will be on her way soon!
Should be some good fun about this on Sunday.

Tactics are the manager's realm - he should be in control of his staff never mind blaming her. She should leave (and join us) then sue them for constructive dismissal.
I can't wait to hear the chanting on Sunday now.

And yes, the media have taken up the story deflecting the blame from the players.
