I'm pleased for the win of course, but so far I'm not regretting my decision not to take up the CL ticket scheme. I haven't gone as far as Blue Since 76 and gone for the shopping though, saving that for the away game.

Hopefully that will be a morale boost for the derby but we up it 100%.

But we can't plaster over the cracks, really we were quite poor tonight, and very lucky to get the points.

Play shit and win in Europe is good enough for me , we have played much much better and lost many times ........... massive massive 3 pts tonight !
Not really here

We are so inept in Europe, poor tactics and lethargic play. I'm glad we won but it is so irritating to watch .

Yaya some great stuff going forward. Usual shite off the ball. I could have killed Joe over that careless throw out right at the death.

All in all lucky but we have a very good chance of going through and maybe topping the group. Vinny and Merlin should be back in a week too.

So my thread first 4 star, then 3 star tactic work. Same as Pellers.

You need people like me to say ”that”s the thread guy”.

Two and a half years and 85 minutes for the manager to learn how this team could progress in the champions league.....maybe at last the fuckin penny has dropped.

Tactical tweaking did the trick.

Ref was a cunt. Sterling and yaya got fucking dragged around right in front of him.

We were shite for long periods but we're definitely the team that no one writes off til the end now.

Happy days.

Snooker? Yes.

i can hardly believe his play is defensible tbh. It amazes me.

cheers

You're not losing it. He was poor enough tonight, but he wasn't alone. That wasn't a team performance. We relied on individuals to do something brilliant whereas they played like a cohesive unit and should have been about two goals up.
We got out of jail. We scarcely deserved it, but I'll take it all night long.

Afraid not. Against a proper team it would have been over long before half time, it's too late.

We must not play with that team and formation against the scum on Saturday or we will be in danger of making them look good. As I feared from the start Sevilla are a good team that will overrun us if we play Yaya as one of 2 in the middle and that's effectively what that was all about.

We got lucky they messed up their final ball or finish and then KDB snatched it for us at the end but generally we were poor tonight. It seemed to me we ran out of energy into the 2nd half and we really settling for a draw. Then Sevilla decided to settle for a draw as well which was very strange and cost them dearly.

One up front on Sunday for me which means either Bony or Sterling does not start.

Awful performance. Fantastic result. We will need to be more focused against the rags though. Will give us plenty of confidence going in to the game on Sunday and they haven't covered themselves in glory either tonight.

Still, we must remember our two best and most influential players were watching in the stands

Just listening to the ITV review of the game. You would think we were rubbish , listening to how the talk only about Sevilla.

They even put a negative slant on Kevin being a two footed finisher ! Kin 'ell all players would give up anything to be two footed !

On Sunday we need a central midfield with the two Ferns and Yaya played further forward. Then we need our wide men required to provide cover for the full backs. If Vinnys fit he should play. If we do that there should be some solidity to the team. We still have Tin Tin Yaya and Sterling to offer attacking threat.
