Id be a lot happier if he was fit before we play Sunderland. There's a few import at games between now and then :)

3pm on Boxing Day sounds about the right time for lunch.

Saw the highlights via Forza (great app btw) and sounds/looks like we played well and should have had more goals than we did. Delph and Bony missing chances, and even Navas or Silva could have scored.

Sounds like a welcome return of Silva's magic and KDB excellent again (what a signing, still!) but these announcers need to stop saying, "That's what £55 million buys you." I'm so sick of that, even as a compliment. Do they list the sale price when Martial, Suarez, Bale, Neymar, or Rodriguez (who's barely playing now) score? Of course not, and pretty much all of them cost more. I know we've all been saying this, but it's December. What a joke.

Nice flick by Nacho for KDB's first and making an impact on the scoring sheet as well is nice to see again. Actually, I heard Bony has 5 goals in his last 8 appearances, btw.

Navas not at his best, but Sterling creating another goal is also good to see, as well as Yaya getting a rest.

Hope I can actually watch the semis. When's the draw?

He also hasn't been in the first 11 that many games in a row. I think it's 3 since he didn't start against Liverpool, I believe, nor has he played the full 90 of all other games since either (EDIT: the first 2 only):

came on at 45 min vs. Liverpool
Taken off 60 min vs. Juve
90 min vs Southampton
90 min vs. Hull

Sorry my mistake. I meant the Stoke game this Saturday lunchtime. Hopefully they'll both be fit to play.

Do we really need to rush them back for this game? We can win it anyway, and I'd rather them be fully fit.

I think we see Kun on the bench and to get some minutes in the 2nd half and Joe on the bench, just in case.

I'm loving our three summer signings, Delph, de Bruyne and Sterling. Delph in particular is showing what we've been missing.

Hull came to defend in depth and niggle away so it was good to get the early goal so we didn't have time to get frustrated. KDB is so good when he gets a yard or two of space. He just doesn't mess about as say a Nasri would.

For a while it was all a bit bitty but once they started to think about coming forward things started to change.Add to that we brought Sterling and Kelechi on and it was all over. Sterling still isn't playing great but he does some very good things and tonight's assist was excellent but it needed Kelechi rather than Bony to score it. His determination to get to the near post was quality as of course was the finish.Just like V Chelsea in the youth cup final.

Iheanacho imo is streets ahead of Bony as a player, striker or whatever you want to call them and he should be getting more game time NOW

100% must be done. Even if Nasri was available they should find a way to get Kelechi in.

For all his faults Bony has an Impressive scoring record prior to joining City. This is not an excuse but a fact, Malaria is one hell of an illness and it has robbed him of valuable pre-season time. Although it can be managed (Kolo Toure has proven that at during his time at City) it isn't completely curable. On top of that he has picked a few injuries since arriving so I am not surprised we are not seeing his best (although 5 goals in 15 is a decent return considering the circumstances), Kelechi might surpass Bony's achievements in a couple of seasons time but for now he is still a talented yet raw kid and Bony is the more experienced option.

Disappointed Garcia didn't get a run out. But all the subs were done by the time the pressure was off.

We had just gone 3-0 up when the last change was made, I know Demichelis was ready to come on but at that stage could have changed it and sent Garcia on into Silva role

There's a lot of senior players to pacify, maybe Pellers is looking at the bigger picture, keeping those players happy.

And keeping them ticking over so they're good when called upon.

So very happy to have been shown I know fuck all about football. Kev is just sensational, even when quiet he has that ability to change a game in a second, whereas delph I'm quietly confident he's going to be our new fernandinho when the latter moves on.

Lovely finish by bony, well done wilf. Hope sterling was watching how to finish with the left foot on an open goal. Still not forgiven him for titting that chance up in juve.

You weren't alone.
Everyone was raving about Sterling and desperately willing us to sign Pogba. General consensus that Kev was nothing special and Delph was never going to get a game. That includes me too. Good job no-one on here knows fuck all about football.

No. 38500 is decent in the context. The semi against West ham got 30000

I had a completely different view on the players you mention but then again, some actually understand football ;-)

Me too. This general consensus, how come we weren't invited?

I did say that Delph was the latest in the line of Johnson, Rodwell and Sinclair. Not much of a leap when we paid £6M for Johnson and Sinclair, £12M for Rodwell. In the current market these represented cheaper players that maybe could contribute but did the more important job of keeping our homegrown quota up. I guess that would be Roberts, not Delph.

Whoever said Kev was nothing special needs a wobble. I think I made the point that last season he was the best player in a league that contains Robben, Reus, etc etc. and if that doesn't make you special, nothing would.

Sterling turns 20 on the 8th of this month. He's a kid already looking like he's going to be a superstar. Can you imagine in 10 years time what he could accomplish? We paid for this club's future and if he stays with us long term, no-one will care how much we paid for him 10 years from now.

Signing Pogba is still a good move for us, not only is he incredibly talented and young, signing him means we can offload Yaya. I have been advocating this since he scored 20 in the league, we should have cashed in then. Not that he isn't talented and not that he doesn't contribute(that's got two other threads discussing it) but with his frame/body type, he was always going to hit the age decline hard and when it hit, it would be quick and very noticeable.
