Phillips is abysmal. Nuts signing, miles away from what we are. Please let's just agree that the lad needs to move on for his own sake.

He is back-up for Rodders simple as that. Arguably, Lavia may have been a better option and obviously, free but maybe he wanted game time? Certainly odd that we chose Phillips in the first place and I don't see anything in his play so far - albeit limited glimpses that make me confident that we can rely on him

He was bought because that shite Argie manager that got sacked from Leeds recommended him.

Missed the game, but saw the highlights. Is Phillips that bad?

Except when he hit the post early on, he looked dreadful.

All the things people are saying about Phillips they said about “Plodri” and “Dungo” years ago when they first came to the club.

The club must have seen something in him. They don’t just spend 40 million quid on a whim.

He’s been probed by Barca so he’s probably a bit sore still

Worst player for me- didn't think he was great at Bournemouth either.
Phil's looking like he's getting back to his best though, Dias the main man at the back again blocking everything, Kev with his genius for all 3 goals, Ake getting better and better in that left back role, Jack with a great cameo. Things are looking good again.

I'd not argue that Alvarez was worse than Phillips but, yes, Phillips is absolutely shit. Hoolian has real talent, that we know.

Alvarez is a centre forward and the best in Latin America - if hes not going to be given a run of games in his favored position and people are going to slate him based on a couple of games then I hope he fucks off and becomes the POTS for some other team.

To be honest, that's why I posted a few months back asking why everyone was saying Alvarez was the answer to all our problems. He was being built up as the second coming.
It was pretty obvious that when he didn't meet expectations he was going to get slagged.
I really rate him, but have to admit he was shite last night

And also, Kev was pretty poor last night, yet he put in that sublime pass for the second, and scored a worldy.
If Alvarez had had a similar flash of brilliance, his anonymity through the rest of the game would be forgotten.

Why you bother to post is beyond me as you offer sweet fuckall to this site.....no analysis of any game , nothing of substance in any of your posts.

A waste of space.

alvarez had 4, if not 5, really good chances last night and fluffed them all. the air shot in the first half was embarrassing
