A pity about the Ake injury really. I hope it is just precautionary.

Pep did not look happy at the end.

I think he will be making it 100% clear to everyone that Haaland takes penalties no matter what. No Mahrez, no Gundogan. No being nice.

For most of the match we did everything well. Rested lots of players, comfortably winning, restricting Leeds to nothing. Then we almost ruined it with complacency near the end.

But the main thing is we got the 3 points and now have a 4 point gap over Arsenal. If Newcastle can get at least a draw tomorrow, it means we’d only need 6 points from our last 4 games.

Ake is the only concern. Rodri got a rest, so did Stones and Dias. We had chances in the second half. I was gobsmacked when Gundogan stepped up for the penalty. Pep could care less about hat tricks. If we had been four or five up he still wouldn’t have liked it. Orders are orders. Pep blanked Gundogan afterwards. Pity because he had a really good game. He won’t have been pleased with Akanji. Did ok then that ridiculous attempt to head the ball which led to the goal.

KDB is on fire and ready for Tuesday, as is foden.

Grealish rested, Dias rested.

All that mattered in the end was the three points.

And we got a nice reminder of how 85 mins of great work can turn to shit in an instant. Right before we play against the team that showed us that in the worst way possible last year.

Bring it on

Baffling !!!!

Yes it feels like we're Usain volt sometimes.

And we know how bad he felt when he won races against inferior sprinters.

Mad how it's forgotten that for the best part of twenty fucking years teams went to old Trafford with the sole intention of getting a point.

So it is our fault that other teams spend huge sums on shit and are total fucking cowards. Okaaaaay.

Erling was poor by his standards. For the benefit of the juvenile uneducated on here, that does not mean he isn't a quality player, just that he had a relatively poor game.

Much like Alvarez the other night in fact- who ran around with amazing energy but lobbed 3 innocuous shots at the keeper and had a fairly poor game in that respect

Actually reminds me a bit of when Sergio had a penalty to win the title and played a ridiculous Panenka into the arms of the goalkeeper.

I don’t mind Gundi taking the pen, that is normal and always happened in the history of this game.
What I didn’t like was the few minutes of chaos after that.

Tuesday is going to be a good day, I can feel it.
