Looking at this Suarez thing to Arsenal, are they just dragging their feet because he is banned from competition, saving a few quid in the process?

How many games has he still to sit out?

that doesn't quite make sense - whether he is their player or not, he won't be playing for arsenal

Cheers mate. This why I thought he'd go abroad, he's going to miss the start of the season and probably won't be able to play until the start of October.

Arsenal are obviously in talks but with Rogers new claims that Suarez is worth as much as Bale then it's going to be very difficult for them to get him.

How any of those players could be valued at 100 mil is beyond me.

Never say 'Never' mate.

Madrid are looking for a Galactico, and as there are none available, they've created one - Bale.

That's my take on it as well, the problem is that Bale isn't going to bring in the same revenue that Tranny does, especially with him still there. Maybe Tranny is off to the Rags afterall or maybe Real are using the Bale situation to get Tranny to re-sign a lesser contract. With the advent of FFP I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted Tranny off their books, no way will Bale be offered anywhere near the contract Tranny's on.

It's getting tedious isn't it, why would he even contemplate them?

I'm not sure who's driving these stories, the Rags to keep their presence seen or the media to sell a few extra copies. Either way, it's getting embarrassing for them now, all these top class players no longer want to go to the Swamp and only money, not their history (as Moyes thought), will bring players in.

I thought players wanted to go their for the chance to play at the biggest club in the World yet it seems nobody wants to go even with the big money offered. Strange days, eh?

They are obviously bidding for players they have no chance of getting. If that's true then they really are trying to sell season-tickets (which I've heard they are struggling to shift) as he'll only leave that club in a coffin.

I notice the Rags sent a letter apologising to Kenworthy for the tapping up of Moyes. The question is, did they go for Moyes because he was their preferred option or did they do it early because they knew there wouldn't be a payment clause.

For me it was the latter and something I said back when he kept putting off his contract talks. Leads you to believe that their pockets are bare.

I said last season, when they signed Van Persie, that the Glazers would want to balance that out this season. They probably have one decent sized transfer in them but may finance it with Rooney.

Local hack at the Mirror recons he's been told by a contact at the club that Rooney will put in an official transfer request very soon. If true, that would be exactly what the rags have been planning for imo.

I recon they are fucked if he goes. But Chelsea become title favourites if he signs for them. Rags in danger from Arse & Spurs if that happens imo.

And derbies get much easier for us.

It's quite obvious that the Rags have been pushing Rooney out and was probably finalised when Moyes agreed to take over. That's why Taggart started leaving him out, the books from RvP had to be balanced. I still believe that's what happened to Berbatov, Shrek gets his payrise so BBT doesn't get game time, his bonuses were paying Rooney's excess wages.

United aren't as rich as we think, there's a real issue back there and balancing the books is a real struggle. The 80 mil for Tranny disappeared into the Black Hole and by forcing poor Wayne into putting a transfer request in they'll save a few million again, as well as his wages.

Getting knocked out at the Gp stages of the CL and then just making 1 rd further last season really hurts their balance, a balance that is regularly syphoned away to cover the debts and the Glazer's personal issues.

Remember that money they made from the shares float, also remembering how they changed the payment status to themselves? I do wonder what happened to that 70 mil that just seemed to disappear in the Caymens, or was it Delaware?

I have been told of a rags friend off a friend that the scum have to buy a big big player this summer because the stock market has tumbled since taggert announced his temporary discharge and the Disney bros are losing more money each day to keep hold of the club

There is talk of them putting more shares on the market. If we see that then we'll know that they are really in the shit. The last float ended up 50/50 to the club and the Glazer's with the club taking the hit on the charges. Can see the Glazer's doing the same again and syphoning money off to cover their other interests.

If they have to buy big then it will be with the Rooney money, they can't afford both.

the papers claim they will try to sign Schweinsteiger due to his apparent lack of fit with Pep's new system.
i could be wrong but i dont see United as having a shot in hell of prying him away from Bayern.

More debt, even bigger bonus. If they lose Rooney they'll need more than 1 player to shore things up.

I think Shrek will flop at Chelsea. Most of their goals come from their midfielders.

I think the opposite. Shrek would become the front man or at times play off the likes of Lukaku. He'd be a centre piece for all that they do and he'd have a new lease of life.

I'd prefer Rooney to fuck off abroad, or go to Arsenal, but in any case I wouldn't want to see him at Chelsea. In fact, I don't want to see his ugly mush anywhere.

I reckon he could have you as well.
