UEFA Europa League Round of 32 Draw [merged]

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Perfect for us Swiss located Fans, Salzburg(5hrs) on the train and Turin (2.45 hrs). Poznan is expensive to fly. Looks like we might be in the car.

Seems like we are going to be doing this a lot from now on. I really must get a VW bus sorted out for these trips now !

Renato, well definitely have a Swiss City fan presence in Turin . Look forward to getting down there mate.

Edit: Flights to Berlin and train to Poznan ? Air Berlin is cheap.

How do you get from this explanation of the draw to us having only three pot 1 options?

Chuffed about the Juve games, we needed a draw like that the wet the juices.

Only a month to wait, surely the home game will sell out.

Alright, how do I get tickets for Juve away? I'm not a member with the club or any of that stuff. But that game is around my birthday, so I fancy having a bit of that for a prezzy.

Dont want to pee on anyone's chips, but I still reckon they'll need fiver offers etc to sell out Juve, just like Hamburg.

Done the Berlin>Poznan train before. Took about 3.5 hrs, from memory. Direct trains several times a day, too.

I agree with this. It would be wise for the club to do so too, IMO.
If they could create even a fraction of the atmosphere they did with Hamburg, it would kick start the campaign very nicely.

OK...We've Qualified! Hurrah Hurrah, and Hurrah again!! Both draws for the Rounds of 32 and 16 are made on December 17th.

Dates of fixtures for these rounds are 17th & 24th of February and 10th & 17th March respectively.

Those already confirmed from Europa League are: Manchester City, Lech Poznan, Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting Lisbon, Villareal, Dynamo Kiev, BATE, CSKA Moscow, Sparta Prague, Zenit St Petersburg, Stuttgart, Young Boys, PSV Eindhoven,
Metalist Kharkiv, Paris SG, Liverpool, Porto, Besiktas

Those dropping down from the CL are: Twente Enschede, Benfica, Glasgow Rangers, Robin Kazan, Basle, Spartak Moscow, Ajax & Braga

"Links" to City at the moment are CSKA Moskow (Jo's previous club), Twente & PSG (opponents a couple of years ago), Zenit and Rangers (Finalists at COMS in 2008) and Sporting Lisbon (linked through the late Malcolm Allison)

If i've missed any links, by all means pop them on here! Once we have the remaining Europa Qualifiers & CL dropouts, I'll update this.

If anyone has any info on seedings etc it would be greatfully received...I take it we can't play Poznan or Liverpool until the QF's??

Cant meet another english side until second knockout fixture.

As far as i know the group winners and top 4 on point difference from the champions league qualifiers will be the seeded teams for the draw in the knockout stage

So we could do with a win in Turin....

I think Salzburg will get a point against Poznan so it dont matter what we do in the city of the backstabbers.

I think a 0-0 would do us fine.
