Fernandinho my MOTM. Was everywhere. Elbowing Costa was massively accidentally amazing. The goal was icing.
Big big day for him. He was the difference for me.
cheers
It did more than create space, as our four opening chances all came from the left with Raheem directly involved in three of them. There was nothing wrong with the so called chemistry between Kolarov and Sterling until Mourinho reacted and shifted players around which opened up the right flank which created the first goal. Not bad from Raheem IMO. Went quiet after Mourinho nullified him but so did Silva arguably. Don't understand why you're singling out Sterling but perhaps I'm missing something?
I also think Raheem did well tracking back and closing down Chelsea players when they were trying to counter. The most notable was when Kola was out of position and Hazard was bolting down ready to cause problems.
He's really almost a decoy at times thus far two matches in. Is he "shit"? No. Is he 10x performing better than average pacey wingers on any team? Not a chance, yet.
He and Aleks should have created 3 goals in the first half if they were better connected. A few times in the first half especially the best ball was from one to the other and they each played a harder lower percentage pass which resulted in giving the ball away. Must have happened 3 times in 5 mins which is what prompted me writing this.
I think they'll work it out fine but Sterling isn't anything special just yet. I believe he will get there though no danger.
I do agree that one time he tracked back and got in the way of Hazard was important. Navas does that every 3 minutes.
Cheers
I do agree with this. I think the overall workrate from everyone has gone up and long may it continue.
But Navas does that tracking back bit every game. Sterling, I think, will do the same. Not so sure, you'll get that from Nasri.
Neville was also full of praise for £49m summer signing Raheem Sterling, insisting the England international's displays against West Brom and Chelsea have impressed him.
"I think he has developed, in the two games I've seen, a very good relationship with Aleksandar Kolarov," he said.
"I think he brings pace. David Silva playing centrally is a benefit of having Sterling there as a genuine, good wide player.
"It just works all round for me having Sterling at Manchester City. I think he'll get better service. I think he played well today without being what I would call outstanding, but he played the position well.

That's agist, mate. And technically inaccurate. The politically correct denotation should be "old looking cunt".

And yet he started bleeding. Magital touch!

That just goes to prove he's a cunt.
