Just back from the match. Great first live game for my boy, and his new hero is Nacho. Fuck it, he's my new hero too! What a performance from him. Thought that he and Wilf actually complemented one another quite well. Fern and Yaya had midfield sewn up and never had to get out of second gear. Mangler and Martin seemed ok together and Jesus put in a good shift again. Willy better than he has been. Good to see some youngsters getting a run out and Garcia's finish was superb. Only real downside is Zabba. Looks quite crocked again and we are an injury away from a full back crisis.

just got to watch it due to work.

really liked the play of the Marty-Mangala partnership. Demichelis was excellent imo. aside from a few wayward passes early he had a goal line clearance and broke up everything that got near him.

up 4-0 and Manuel waits until the 85th to bring on Manu? stupid. happy the kid got a goal though.

Fernando has looked good this season. much better than last year. i guess his injury really was to blame.

god Bony looked shit. yet again. i don't know who has a worse touch, Bony or Navas. and for having tree trunks for thighs you'd think his shots would have more power behind them. Iheanacho is already above Bony.

Preferably from the under 13's. It's the UCL and we need proven winners to back up Joe, not some has been.

From Chris Bevan:

21:24 Just before City's fourth goal, the home fans gave a standing ovation to their £54m man Kevin de Bruyne as he left the pitch, to be replaced by 18-year-old winger Patrick Roberts for his first appearance at Etihad since his £12m summer move from Fulham.

A goal and an assist for the Belgian tonight, which is fast becoming his expected return.

If the wanker thinks that we paid Fulham 12 mill straight up he should quit his job today and go jump off the highest building within walking distance to him.

We might well end up paying Fulham 12 million in the future, the same as the rags possibly paying 50-odd million for Dizzee Rascal. But that doesn't get mentioned does it.

Obviously a Rag, every comment had a slant to it. He took great pleasure in mentioning the empty seats.

I think his last comment was how well Nacho looked and praised him for his assist to Garcia, and then I expected a bit of a comment on our young players coming through, you know, having Nacho, Roberts and Garcia on the pitch, but no, not a dickie bird, it was if he was commentating for the Rags.

As a side, I don't understand why Kolarov doesn't take our corners usually. He's the best crosser at the club and arguably the best in the Prem, so I don't understand why we have Silva or Navas hitting the first man 9 times out of 10.

Agree, his dead ball deliveries are top drawer, that corner for Bony's goal was perfection, right on the penalty spot when Bony headed it, what a cracking header too btw.

For anyone that can watch matches on BeIn Sport USA (in English), the TV network will be airing the full match on delay, some time after 8:30PM (ET) (or 12:30 midnight UK time) tonight.**** Please see updated kickoff time!

Thanks! Shutting down radio updates and turning off all electronic devices until 8pm now.

C & C, since you're not currently online, to avoid spoilers, I doubt you'll get to see this message in time... Due to all the extra time played during the United vs Middlesbrough match, which ran more than 120 minutes, our City match will probably be delayed until at least 8:30 PM (Eastern DST)/ 12:30 AM UK Standard Time, or maybe later, on BeIn Sport USA.

They are currently showing the Liverpool vs Bournemouth match, which is currently at a half time break... So, our match will hopefully be shown in full, right after... Enjoy & sorry we have to wait even longer than expected, to watch our match!

Haha. Thanks. I started the game from my dvr at about 10:20 and thought i was screwed. Quickly set it to record the show following and was fortunate to not miss anything. I appreciate the heads up.

Obviously a fun match to watch.

Almost zero long balls being pumped upfield. Still trying to work out why that was the plan on Sunday.

True. If I could get down to from the third tier to the front row of the bottom tier to take on all the whoppers that give him shit I would do.

Disagree. even with ten men the side could've held on for the win already up 4-0.

what would've been worse was had an important player that was still on the pitch at that time been injured. like, say, Bony (even if i don't him we still need him at this point). Pellegrini already lamented his injury list. why subject your only fit Champions League striker to the risk of injury at the end of an already wrapped up match? plus, the bonus is that you'd be given a prospect some vital minutes. these are the matches they're supposed to play in in order to try and impress. if they're just going to get the last few minutes of matches then why have an academy (i know Iheanacho played all 90).

Mase, Beefy. Just before the last international break, in the media thread i think, i picked up on Bevans obsession with mentioning how much each player costs '54mill ' KdB scores etc.

We should have a name and shame them thread and not just for bias against City. Simply useless cnuts, like Bladder and Blobtini too. All in there . one location for the incompetents.
