At 29 Evans will have little or no sell-on value and, while City recognise it is an inflated market, the club will switch to other options should West Brom demand what they believe is an unrealistic price.

While an offer in the region of £25m plus add-ons may cause Albion to consider Evans’s sale, Guardiola is also insistent that, if his central defence cannot be strengthened, he will still be content.

Craig Dawson is at the same club, born in Manchester and can play both Centre half and FB. He is better than Evans younger and a local lad. Why oh why look at a rag on his last legs. Also injured ?

Pity he's not a leftie

Evans is right footed JC.

Maybe I was misled by this

is there a vid of him taking a penalty ;)

He's played at leftback for West Brom - that doesn't automatically mean he's left footed though obviously. I read somewhere he was twofooted but I don't know (and don't really care).

If this is the best our scouting department can churn out, they all deserve to be kicked out. :?

This is like installing wooden ladders in the Arndale when escalators have been around for how many years.

Happily, there seems to be a Plan B (Gibson/Middlesborough) http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... d-11018475

Phew, thank goodness for that.

Let's hope we now put this Evans stupidity to bed.

this guy isn't worthy of this much discussion.

Could we get Gibson for £20m, or just a ploy to lower WBA's expectation of what they can wringe from us?

I am now finding the most interesting thing about this pursuit of a fourth CB is the focus on home grown. We have the option, at the sort of sums being bandied about, of signing a really good foreign player - Martinez, Sakho, the one who's just signed for Spurs etc.. So why are 2 foreign spots being left empty and Delph being forced out? The possibilities are breathtaking!
