Pep says Napoli completely destroyed City in first 20 minutes but delighted at reaction. A very difficult away match but we need to start stronger in future. That said what a result, what a performance!

They were very complimentary and why not. The likes of BT will always give a positive spin to anything Rag but will also do it for a team that entertains their viewers. We are that team.

I'm happy for us to start like that, as long as we finish in the same way ;-)

That was such a mature performance to see out the game.
They could have strolled around at 2-3 for another hour without looking like letting it slip.
They never forced the 4th. It’s was like we’ll take it when it comes, but keeping the ball is more important.

Really impressed. We’ve arrived.

Not lost since 5th April, the Chelsea game. 5 months in competitive matches, that's some going!

Hopefully some of us will now start to believe in this team. This is the longest run we've ever had without a loss (22 games) and playing football most fans couldn't dream of. Incredible time to be a blue.

Mate, I think we've always believed in the team, didn't matter where we were but we always came back for more. That's why we're so cynical now ;-)

This team is like whoa...

Spurs will get more accolades in the media given their opponent, as well as being anyone but us and somehow better for English talent, yet any England fan should be quite appreciative for what Pep's done with Sterling, Stones, and Delph right now.

I actually think we could genuinely do the quadruple if we keep our players fit, which sounds like mind boggling crazy talk, but the double or treble is not at all as of this moment (CL, PL, FA or EFL).

Biggest concern right now for me is if Delph gets injured.

Over the years I've read, several times, with some envy I should add, posts in the tune of "what City made/make to me"

Now, am finally in the position to match those feelings, well and properly.
what the likes of Ruud Kroll, Maradona, Careca couldn't do, Almighty God's Own Club did tonight. City have made me come to the centercore of the filthy maccaroni's bunch: the stadio San Paolo!
Please do not underestimate such evidence of City power. just think of the most racist feeling You have, deep in Your heart, towards the scousers... well it'll always be one tenth of what I feel towards neapolitans.
From now on, several of You shall still be entitled to hate me, but no more to question my Bluehood.

So proud of the LADS!
what a game (far from one of our best but so important and significant!), what a manager, what a ridiculously good pair of wingers we have! and what a legendary striker, KUN 178!

tonight City really have made me singing the Blues, like an emotionally overwhelmed toddler!

Thank You MCFC from Gorton and Maine Road!

Oh my fucking giddy aunt, Lee Dixon has just admitted that he's a City fan! It must now have dawned on him that we're the real deal.

Well done son, the media is a'changing.

Also had Stoned and Otamendi down for praise, along with Sane and Sterling. Gundog wasn't half bad as well.

Oh, and the rest of the team, they were all awesome.

gotta say I saw a little 10 minutes of BT3 streaming while approaching the filthy stadium with my braces keeping hold on trousers ;)
and was almost shocked to hear Martin Keown raving about City as if he was ratboy talking the rags...

days they are a'changing indeed. :D
fingers crossed for sunday with the ref... as Your prediction looks more spot on by the gameday. huge test next, imo.

p.s.
only tonight little sweet/bitter feeling is that I really wanted Napoli to go through and be drawn the rags...
well... a side thrashed by Huddersfield will be thrashed by Shakhtar Donetsk too.

agreed on all fronts.

i anticipated losing this like 3-1 or something so i was very worried watching those first 20 minutes when Napoli dominated us.
very impressive win today. Sane and Stones were great today.

hopefully Kevin's shocker today ended when the match ended as we'll need him at his best vs. Arsenal. also hope Sane's injury isn't serious.

since we've qualified the only remaining agenda should be: top the group and De Bruyne must get a yellow in the next match.
