Big improvement needed or Bindippers will eat us up.

I'll take that in the circumstances.

Sorry chap, not even close to a dive.
So you think it was a penalty?
No. Those arent the only 2 options. I think there was contact but fair contact.

Good win that we urgently needed after the past few weeks.
We played some excellent football at times but still showed our defensive vulnerabilities.
Pep needs to settle on a centre back partnership and stick to it. Danilo has to play left back against Liverpool with Walker back in at right back.

Fern and Dave get well needed minutes, Aguero scores, Walker and Sane have had a bit of time-out and we may have De Bruyne in contention for the game. It maybe a little too soon but I'm more optimistic than I was 2 hours ago.

Half way there. 3 Huge huge points.
What can I say about this? It would be poor from our part to say we were fantastic. I think today we were lucky, we scored two goals when it was really needed. For the first time in a long long long time, we had luck.
I really can't say anyone had a great game, except Fern who looked at his usual self, but overall, if this was a bad day, I hope all will be like this.
Now, don't want to bring everyone's hopes down, but in 4 days if we play like this we will lose. In 4 days time, we need to be at our very best in almost 1 year. Don't know how we will make that, but Pep and the players will need to turn 10x better than today. The players need to rewatch these days the UCL game from last year and get angry.
Not super excited, but maybe it will be our day.
PS: Happy New Year!

Fairy muff. I thought he went down like he'd been shot when he felt Zinch's arm on his shoulder.

Apart from the actual mistake by Zinchencko, which I think followed from s bad pass from Laporte, I don't think there was much the defence did wrong. Most of their shots were from range and were easy pick-ups for Ederson and I only remember one good save from him.
Not saying it's the best we can put out there but it was fairly solid today, considering.

I'm not getting my hopes yet, if we pull it off against the dippers, we'll get our confidence back and they'll take a big knock leaving the title wide open. They're due some bad luck; that's the law of probability and anything can happen in football. However, on current form, I'm not confident one bit, they've got a good cushion and can take risks where us on a knife edge. I'm hoping the gods out there will lend us a hand.

Me too, just as Long did when Laporte touched him in the back over on the side. Salah's last 3 penalties have told players that they can go down with the mereist of touches and they will get the call. What they don't realise is that if you aren't part of the chosen few then you ain't got a chance in hell, just like the Raheem incident proved.

Nevertheless I am still in a state of shock that the ref let Zinch and Vinny off.

Who is the ref, probably Alty Taylor with Peter Walton as 4th official.
