Savinho was excellent too. Turned his full back inside out and sideways plus the excellent assist. On to the Bernabeu. You never know.. Give it a go at any rate,

That last goal reminded me of the Bobby Mc Donald Kevin Reeves near post corner routine under John Bond, just saying

A good post match feeling for once.
Thought we made better progress through transitions by being much quicker and direct.
Gundo played well
Rico average for me, just below Foden. Rest of team were very good
Haaland does better as a captain, works harder for the team
Savinho was excellent , MOTM Mamoush, a great game

Real Madrid drew in La Liga and Bellingham was sent off. He’s available for Wednesday of course.

Played like a team, big result against an inform Newcastle.

well done Blues.

I might bang £20 on a win in Madrid and to qualify.

Play like that we are in with a chance.

It will be how we handle the pressure in Madrid. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this team that played today is close to our best 11 given the injuries and we can beat any team in the world when we play like this with energy and pace and some aggression, I would still like to see a few more crunching tackles. Nico looks like a real player, Marmoush we already know is and Khusanov is going to be brilliant going forward as he was today....all three of those need to play on Weds, not KDB or Kovacic or Bernie. Dare I say it I thought Gundog was absolutely top class today, didn't put a foot wrong and to be fair, everyone had a very good game. So all of a sudden I feel optimistic again.....I think City are building something again. We have Esheveri, Bobb and obviously Rodri to come back along with hopefully a couple of top class summer signings and Next season could really be something. :D

I think everyone played in their natural positions today -

First time ever.

Does anyone think the penny has dropped for PeP or will go back to reinventing the wheel ?

Marmoush with a great hatrick but that's as good as Stones has played in 2 years even with his purple patch last season. But I was watching Nico like a hawk with fingers crossed after his early exit last time out and he was sublime. Always in space to receive the ball and simple fast passes MOTM for me.

Very enjoyable first half and very professional second half I would say. I thought Haaland did well dragging the defenders to make space for Marmoush who was excellent. He always looking to attack the line in behind , anyone playing high against us with Ederson gives him a chance.
I’ve been very critical of Lewis but I thought he did well today going both ways , nothing spectacular but him against Gordon was a. If concern pre match. Don’t think he’s a long term right back for us but if going to criticise him have to acknowledge the good games.
I thought Gundo had his best game since returning, proper defensive midfielder beside him I think really helped him.
Khushanov looks promising. Good power and pace , like his shoulder charges through people, even tho giving frees against him if he far enough outside box we need a hard fucker in the side, we’re too soft a lot of games.

Didn’t think we’d get a draw before kick off, now we’re 3 points off 3rd spot. Good day over all
