They've given up scoring from open play. Everything is based around getting a corner, much like Leicester City a few years ago.

3 minutes added time. I hope Villa can battle it out.

Lucky the replacement ref didn't go down injured, that old fella standing in for the 4th doesn't look like he'd get up and down the pitch too much.

A good start then, Chelsea get nothing out of Villa Park. Now more of the same for the rest of sky4 please.

over and done. Impressed by Villa. It also puts our 1-1 in a different light.

Amazing recovery from that cockup of a goal Friedel let in.

Chelsea can really turn on the pressure though, not even team will be able to stand up like Villa.

We can win the title can't we? There isn't another team that looks miles ahead of us in my opinion.

I would say that it all depends on what happens after Christmas. Remember Villa were looking the business last season until a lack of squad depth shafted them.

I think the teams that will suffer from this will be Villa, Everton and Liverpool, maybe City, Arsenal and Spurs to a lesser extent.

Should watch Liverpool today, no Mascherano, Gerrard or Torres.

There is no way on EARTH an air filled balloon can alter the flight of a modern football - no fucling way on earth, anyone thinking about it for a second or two would realise.

But it can obstruct the goalkeepers vision.

Edit: Unless it's very very big. Than it could alter the flight.

Okay...except it did. Ball went right, balloon went left, Reina was in line with the ball's original path and left stranded.

A balloon - something weighing, what, a gram or two? Which laws of physics are you going to re-write to make me believe you?

Well, I just saw it many times. No doubt in four minutes I will see it a bunch more.

Honestly couldn't give a fuck what you believe to tell the truth, believe what you want.

In that case I will stick to my theory it hit a divot, since that's far more believeable.

what a lucky man i am today got a choice of mackems/scouse reds ,pompey/yids or the arse/brummies (last match not direct 20mins behind )afraid only saw last 10 mins villa/cheski match like has been said makes our result look good against them,i've been chopping and changing evry 10mins or so but mackems match is the best ,yids goal was a good header by king didn't see 2eme
that goal for the mackems shouldn't of counted that was no ballon it was a ball looked at it again & again and you can see it hit the ball and changed direction but who gives a fcuk ,scouse losing chelski lost what a chance for us tomorrow to really get up towards the very top
