Typical City, as soon as you think we are in trouble we will win.
Liverpool are in for a dicking.
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.

Quite fancy us at 'crisis-club' Liverpool and home to Chelski. It's the Hull-type banana skins we are still vulnerable to.
The whole situation has changed now that we have better players and are regarded as a half-decent side. We struggle against the 'park-the-bus' types as we dont quite know how to play them yet.

Based on the performances over the last few weeks:
Liverpool (A) - L 1-3
Hull City (H) - W 2-1
Chelsea (H) - L 0-4
Bolton (A) - D 1-1
Yids (A) - L 1-3
4 points
But I hope they prove me wrong.

Bearing in mind our famous game in hand and Socrates formula that means we should take into account the other teams as well as our own performances it might worth be considering what will happen around us while we're playing these 5 fixtures. For fairness I've included our near rivals next 4 fixtures. So the issue is really how many more points will these take from their games than we do from ours?
Spuds have got Wigan(H) Villa(A) Everton(A) Wolves(H): 7 pts for me, total 29
Scouse 1 have US (H) Everton (A) Blackburn (A) Arsenal (H) 8pts max? total 27
Villa have Burnley (A) Spuds (H) Hull (H) Scum (A) maybe 7 pts? total 28
So with 9 points we could jump to 4th
8 pts and we'd probly stay where we are
7 pts and we MAY tumble to 7th (if the dippers have a huge turnaround of fortune)
6 or 5 and still probably 7th (unless of course Sunderland and/or Stoke beat Arsenal) .
Of course if a miracle happened and we beat Liverpool and Spurs (teams we need to be rocking) then a more likely picture is we take at least 10 points and go back to fourth with a bit to spare, and I'd rather think that way.
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

its their own, self proclaimed moniker.
funnily enough, i'm sure i remember hearing that the club itself were trying to discourage their fans from using the term. dont think they got very far though.

Spurs fans have it on their flags at the ground, so if they have it emblazoned across their turf, why can't anyone else use the term?

Because it is plain wrong? If someone else is racist that makes it ok for us to copy them then? How brainless is that?

It's only racist if you make it racist. Can we not use Jocks or Taffys now as well? Yids is only to be considered a racist term if it has a negative connotation, and I certainly wouldn't use it like I wouldn't use the word n-gg-- if I thought for one second it did. Also, how many of the Yid Army are in fact jewish? I would be pretty confident it's not all or even most of them. When we look for a slurrish name for them we call them Spuds, Yids is just IMO who they are.

Well I tend to agree that whether words are disparaging / racist or any other form of insult depends on the intent of the person saying it - and there is a tendency to get a little too prissy when it comes to terms with a racist connotation. I have seen behaviour in the work place which I would definitely think is racist - but the person doing it is careful not to 'say' particular words.
Where do you stop if you want to get PC on anything - not wanting to trivialise but people do not get exercised about other forms of insults so much: overweight, short, dim etc - but whilst these can be banter - used in the wrong way they can be very hurtful.
Mind you - on this particular term - the definition of Yid is : Used as a disparaging term for a Jew.
So it would be racist - although people are right - the Spurs fans use it themselves?
(BTW - is the word 'Honky' still in use - doubt it and I am probably just showing my age - but why does it appear that racism is only ever something that seems to be seen as from whites to other races? why not the other way round?)

the Opposite. It depends on the effect it has on the person who is being referred to
