There hasnt half been some rubbish spoken about SWP all season considering he has probably been the most consistent players in the team.
Again the shit spoken about his about his performance today is ridiculous when he was one of the better players on the pitch.
What the fuck did Craig do on the other side.A lot less I'd say.

Should have been substituted, perhaps even in the first half.

He was awful today.

I think he's still got it it's his end ball that's at fault more than anything he just hasn't got one right now. He can work wonders on the ball he just always ends up either passing it to the opposition or losing it in the end. You know once he has the ball hes gonna work magic. You also know that 70% of the time though he's gonna lose the ball aswell.

And he has the best first touch at the club followed by Robson and then maybe Ade.
Who else instantly controls the ball like he does.

No. Some Blues are airing their opinion on him.

The guy is going through a rough patch with his form i think we need to back him rather than throw him on the scrap heap and replace him with a kid who aint ready.

Fair point which I agree entirely with. Shame folk can't have their say without being accused of being a 'boo boy', though. Have to say, his rough patch is becoming a bit elongated.

What i was trying to focus on is the fact that we seem to need to have a player to vent anger at when people are disapointed.

he does not even deserve to be in the squad let alone the 1st 11. crap passing, predictable when running with the ball, cannot link with another player on the team, slow train of thought, ball getting trapped under his feet, no final ball and lately crap shooting

i carnt belive how bad he is now, twice in the first half he had the ball, then tried to go around defenders when he should of crossed, then in 2nd half he was trying to do flicks which was not coming off, i want him to try and get to the byline and if he carnt then bloody cross the ball into the penulty area. mind he did get his head in the way in the last few momments

That's the thing. Bellamy was invisible for the most part, SWP had the ball constantly... and gave it away constantly. I think he's being "singled out", because he's so frustrating to watch. But in the end, he set up a goal superbly (so did Bellamy btw) and ran his socks off. Still, it's really giving me headaches when he tries to just run through defenders. In this game alone it must have been five times he lost the ball that way and another five thanks to a crap (first) touch.

I'd also like to see the alternative first before declaring him not good enough for the squad. And I mean for a full 90 minutes over a couple of games.

anyone remember the cross he put in for ade against arsenal and the goal he scored i didnt see anything but praise for him then instead of everyone picking one thing they didnt like about the game why not concentrate on the good stuff ie lescott had his best game since sighning and de jong was a monster for us today given made an awesome save and ireland put a few passes together that reminded me of last seasons form and most people on here were writing this and the chelsea game off as losses so we got a point more then most expected everyone just chiiiillll shauny is awesome, he had a bad game today and was still one of the best players on the pitch going forward because bellers wasnt doin anything and the turn to set ireland up was class plus he got a ridiculous header in defence stopped us conceding i mean cuuum on get weiss in and drop shaunyu people are either rags or smokin crack put him on at the end of games IIIFF were winning so he can get the experience but you cant just throw him on for 90 minutes like go win us the games because if he makes mistakes the papers and you lot will be writing about how hes not ready and hughes made another bad decision SMIIIIIILE MUVVAFUUKKASS

If you can remember so much you will remember he ha scored a goal since then and had a few assists.
In fact he is the leader at our club at the moment for assists.

I thought Shaun's contribution today was very good. He did so much from back to front but was caught out on a couple of occassions that were very noticable.

Did he not set up a goal and could've had a couple more assists?

Is that the same Craig who's being played out of position? He's no winger mate, fact is SWP is and for the last few games hasn't been able to beat a fuckin egg!

Craig wasn't on the other side. That was Barry, who really was invisible !

4-4-2, Bellamy was supposed to be upfront. That aside, both Barry and SWP needed to be replaced and it certainly would not have done city any harm to try young Weiss in the second half for SWP. Barry was awful again ! At least when Tevez came on
it caused a reaction.

However, once again shocking defending let us down.

Agree with this, I thought he was very impressive in the second half. And like I said in the ratings thread, it's his never say die attitude that's one of his best qualities. A lot of players, even at this level, would have a quiet first half without much luck and the head would drop. No chance of that happening with Shaun, he'll keep plugging away until the final whistle, and consequently, today that character played a huge part in turning the game in our favour.

There's much talk about his crossing, as I recall that was never Shaunie's strong point. He'll skip past defenders, run with the ball for miles, tackle, track back, shoot from distance and link-up with other forwards...as far as I can see he's doing those things quite well at the moment. Before he left for Chelsea he was the icon that he was because he was surrounded by rubbish. He was our one bright spark. When playing with a better class of players as he's doing now, he's never going to look as good...but that doesn't mean he's rubbish or even in rubbish form. Last two games- one goal, one assist. That'll do for me.

Created what should have been the winning goal, if others in the side had done their jobs. What more can you ask from a winger in a difficult away tie?

Shaun did ok today, created the second and was always an outlet.

He can be a contributing membor of the team. He's a Robin, not a Batman. If you stop treating him like the match winner he isnt, maybe you'll appreciate the team player he actually is.
