Hard to answer really. While I think Club has done the right thing, the way it was handled was peculiar to say the least.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I'm not happy at all it seems very strange to sack the guy that gets u to a first cup semi in 28 years and if u look at the table it ain't that bad. United lost 3 nil today and got beat by villa last week have they sacked there manager? NO. I thought wen the money came in we were all agreed we needed stability in the club well this isn't it. We may aswel appoint frank Clark and sell the club to franny lee.

FORWARD WITH FRANNY

Chnaging Manager, still not sure. I am not as convinced by Mancini as some.

How teh club handled it was not the best. We have won 3 of our last 5 games, we are 4 points off top 4 with a game in hand and we are in our first semi since 1981. And the general way today unfolded seems typical city to me.

if i spent 200 million and TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR replaced Liverpool in the top four instead of City, I would sack my unproven manager the SECOND I got the feeling he wasn't the future of the club.

I'm not happy, I think he should have been given more time.

I'm not utterly ashamed, but very disappointed with the way it's been done.

And is anyone really gonna select 'don't care'?

Or £200 Million and 18 months into his tenure...HUGHES WAS NOT THEIR ORIGINAL CHOICE...HE WAS SIGNED BY SHINAWATRA...FFS!

At the end of the day, Judge the owners in 12 or 18 months time...Mancini is their choice, they must bow live or die by this decision.

DID NO ONE SEE THIS YESTERDAY WITH THE HIDDINK ENQUIRY?

FFS Gary Cook asking if Hiddink would be available at the end of the season? Why ask the question if Hughes wasn't a DMW? And as soon as the media had got hold of this he was going to get sacked...just a matter of time. I mean Talkshite knew at 1pm what was going on (because of Ian Wright and SWP I'd Imagine)

I'm utterly ashamed, I had the naiveity to think that the owners were here for the long term and so that meant giving Hughes AT LEAST one full season with his staff/players. This is outrageous. Mancini will be out by July and we will be a laughing stock.

i voted no for a couple reasons.

first, the way this was done was fucking low - if it is true RM was in the stadium, then it's even worse. whatever your view of hughes, the guy conducted himself with the utmost dignity whilst he was here (not like that DT-wracked cunt down the road) and he most certainly did not deserve what became of him today.

if we had been 14th or thereabouts i could understand the sacking, but even in that case handling it like this would have been wrong.

i hope to god mancini hits the ground running.

Very disappointed that Hughes has gone as I think he would have been succesful with City.
Not surprised it's happened because he probably has not done as well as quickly as he should have done.Having said that it really has only been a a few home draws that have been the difference between a great situation and an average one. Those 6 points added on and everyone would have been happy.
Disgusted with the way it's been handled. I don't think we know all the truth yet but I hear the decision was made to appoint Mancini after the Arsenal game and it was certainly known before today's game.
Disappointed and concerned by our owners who don't seem to be sticking by what they said in terms of long term project etc etc.

As for Mancini as I am sure others have already said he gets my 100% support and let's just hope it works. He has no prem experience obviously and maybe Kidd is a great number 2. ( strange one though isn't it , is there a connection between the 2?) Is there anyone that will be worried that we have an ex red in the management team or is it all fine as he played for City as well?

If it could be done without reopening old wounds that annoyed a lot of foreign fans (which I definitely wouldn't want to do), it'd be interesting to have a separate thread for season ticket holders and regular attendees of matches only. I go to every home game - league and cup - and a fair chunk of the away games. I also attend a few fans' forums and, from all these experiences, NEVER have I found the majority of people in attendance to be in favour of the manager being sacked. We ARE the core support and I feel as though we're not listened to. Although the foreign fans are important, and many impressive in their commitment to the cause, it's a sad day when the wishes of the core, local support are no longer taken into consideration, regardless of how much the Sheik has poured in of his own money. I said it after Sven and I'll say it again now - no more chopping, changing, dismantling and rebuilding. Things take time.

I may, of course, be wrong, but I'd be surprised if feeling among match-goers didn't reflect my suspicion.

happy, hes had 18 month to sort out that defence, and its still shite,
every time a ball goes in our box i cringe.
we should not have to score 4 goals to win a game.
and like a previous as said the owners are ruthless in their quest for success which is all us fans want.
their having a field day with us the media that is, hard done by hughes etc, as jim royle said my arse.
he wasnt up to the job and he got the boot.
so maybe now we have someone who can do the buissness.
5 live reckon top teams will be knocking hughes door down i dont think so.
he had the best chance ever given to a manager with the funds at his disposal.
and he blew it big style.
if i bought a ferrari and a mini sped past me i would be returning it classed as faulty goods.
thats what the sheikh as done.
