Dub,
Much is made of the BIG STEP UP into 1st team football but I don't see it as such a big issue. We may be a new team but the likes of Weiss have been training in that squad bith under Hughes and the new manager for some time now and will be the same distance along Mancini's path as the others.
I think it now comes down to experience and ability. Weiss certainly has ability and his Dad trusts him to do a job at international level.
Thinking on this, in the last few years, only Logan (v Pompey when the whole team fell apart) had a bad debut. The rest were all pretty good when they came into the side. Thet certainly never let us down.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

Even that midget left-back looked good on his debut under Sven. Williamson was it?

Tbf I don't think many of the kids are that good, certainly not so good as we'd hoped. They're possible mid-table or championship standard but not many are top 4,Chump's lg material imo. I wouldn't trust many of them in key games. Weiss & also one or two of the younger ones are an exception. Donal MacDermott's always looked a talented footballer to me but whether he's PL potential I don't know. Boyata looks promising but there's not much room for error at CB.
