Time to be gracious

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Didn't see it, couldn't get free from other stuff in life, only found out when I saw the "sad day" post on here. Had hotel booked in London, knew the flights I was going to get. Was confident CIty would win when the draw was made and still felt that way all last week, but from mid-afternoon onwards felt a slowly growing dread - the thought that kept coming back was that when SWP just missed making it 3-1 at home soon after Tevez scored, that was when the tie slipped away. Too upset to read any match reports anywhere, next time I look at anything about football it will be the game on Sunday.

i'm too pissed off at this atm. we played well and fought hard at one of the toughest grounds and lost it at the death.

Had et all over it.

Both sides missed chances. We should have pushed on a bit more at home. Going into tonight 3-1 up would have been enough before a ball was kicked.

At least we're not slagging Webb off. He was a worry before the game.

FA Cup here we come.

just because all their fans are from there, it doesn't mean they play there sadly, should have done your homework mate. Oh you don't mean tonight?

gonna take a while to get over this one.

Can not disagree, said the same after the league derby, as much as it pains me to say it that is why they are the succes they are (bastards).

I also agree that we should have done more in the home leg, 2 goal lead minimum was required.

I think the lack of texts from my RAG twat brother in law and others i know goes to prove they do now se us a threat.

We are getting there, just hurts like hell at the moment

Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

It's all very well being gracious - I phoned my son up after the game (rag, lives near fucking Bristol) and was going to say (through gritted teeth I admit) "Well done, good game blah, blah ... all I got was "That's another year that banner can stay up".

I ended up telling him he's an arrogant, cocky prick just like all United fans, and slammed the phone down on him.

19 years old, never been near the swamp, lives 200 fucking miles away and has developed that irritating fucking streak that they have all of a sudden .... AARRGH !

As gutted and deflated (inclusive of a little cry), I agree entirely BOB, the tide is turning, we have to take pride in ourselves and look to the future.

Yup 4th place and the fa cup will do

Not good enough. Fans were up for it and sang their hearts out - outperformed the players yet again.

Collapsed defensively 2nd half and over the 2 legs we weren't the better side and can't complain. Defensively still weak and ball retention under pressure still a problem

We just wasn't good enough. Neither are 6 or 7 of our players when we compare to Man U standards.

I know it hurts but it's the truth.

Equals no where near, I felt the style of play we played allowed them to attack and ultimately win the game. There goals were not lucky poor defending yes, luck no

Sorry but fuck this thread. It feels like being told to get over the girl who just broke up with you cos her new boyfriend has a bigger dick. I'm not ready to be gracious, I'm still fucking seething at everything. I shall wallow in a vat of self pity, rage and horror at them jammy wankers scoring again in added time, celebrating for 1m10secs and us getting 30 seconds extra. I shall stop being a cunt around everyone when I want, it will be before sunday but there will be plenty of cunts being sworn at between times. I'm off to fucking bed to be a bastard. Fuck the graciousness.
