We won, so job done and I guess I'm happy, just not bouncing around like I usually am when we win.

I'm going to be generous and say that we would have picked up our performance had we needed to, as it was we did enough for it to be fairly comfortable.

It wasn't the best performance ever but to even compare that to Pearce football is laughable. Or just amazing.

The football was just as boring and lacklustre as it was under Pearce. Difference being the one real chance we got today fell to Adebayor, not Corradi.

3 points, im happy.

you hear everyone go one about how good teams can play like shit and still win ... and that's what we did today. We never got out of 1st gear, and we never had to.

all of you complaining sound like a bunch of pussies.

Maybe if mancini played players in there proper positions the manner of the victory would improve...

I was quite happy with Ireland until moved to left wing he was the only one playing the ball forward with purpose and at pace and outside of his assist nearly put tevez through also,, why mancini cant get the forwards to stay up front is beyond me,

Petrov clearly isnt a right winger, Ireland clearly not a left and barry is injured,

It appears wooders is the new vhero when it comes to ireland,

more important were the positives,,, clean sheet,
2 goals
alot of defensive cover as was needed today and most importantly 3 points

more a Sven like performance to be honest. Fairly professional but pretty negative and boring as fuck. We should have been attacking them from the first whistle to last, but we sat back, passed it around the back four and hoofed a fair few long balls. There may have been a bit of a hangover from Wednesday night, but when we somehow found ourselves 2 up at half time there really was no excuse for going for it in the second half and trying to bump up our goal difference.

The tactics were baffling at times as well, Ireland and Barry didn't seem to know where they were playing and the insistence on putting petrov out on the right is just fucking bizarre. We could never build up and momentum because every time the ball went to martin, you KNOW he is going to check inside. As soon as we put Bellamy on the left we looked dangerous and I can't understand why Martin was never moved out there, particularly with ade on the pitch who is going to thrive off crosses.

Really hope that kind of football is not a sign of things to come, that was my biggest worry about Mancini and having come from the Italian leagues.

Worst home match ive seen for a long time. So so boring! I thought mancini played attractive football?! I dont want to have a moan but I still maintain the only lenghty period of good football ive seen was second half at Wolves.

I find the question at the top isn't the right one. I am delighted with the result but I thought the game was dire, really really poor. So does that mean I am not happy about today's game?

I hear all the stuff about we would have drawn that game a while ago bla bla bla and have to agree we messed up some games up big time so the result today was the absolute priority.

We got the result and hopefully Mancini will again have learned a lot about the team and certain individuals.

Im happy!!! was a shite game but we still done the job and got 3 points!! Players still looked on a downer from the other day and I think we allowed ourselves to be dragged down to Pompies level..

It does worry me a bit. Tbh though, nobody really knew if Mancini played boring/attractive tactics. Some posters pretended they knew everything about him, but when asked about tactics answered something to the effect of 'he plays defenders in defence, midfielders in midfield and strikers in attack'.

Don't want to be a moany bastard, his record speaks for itself and I'm happy with most of our results, it's the style of play I'm slightly worried about.

Happy with the 3 points and clean sheet and that's what counts. We played badly for big parts of the match and were lucky not to concede. Toure was back and was in top form.
A bit expected after the big match on Wednesday. Mancini chose to rest some players and things didn't go according to plan with the injuries of Zab and Komp which restricted him to 1 subsitiution only which made a difference and we should have got a 3rd for Tevez.

Pleased as fucking punch...Did what they had to do and got the points.

Made me smile 1....How many times have we watched our team play really well...lose...and we are miserable
This time, we play poorly...Win...and some are miserable.
Maybe it says more about being miserable than City....:-)

Made me smile 2...NQDP sees city play poorly and is positive...Good on'yer Antti mate...Glass half full time???....:-)

We won? Yes, so I'm happy. Results are what will bring us up the league, end of, and since we are chasing fourth, they are the only thing that matters at the moment.

But I have never been anything but happy if we won. Regardless of manager and/or performance. For me it's first and foremost about winning games although I DO want to be entertained every now and then as well.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

The atmosphere at the ground was awful as well. The whole team lacked urgency and the midfield was particularly lacklustre. But 3 points and a clean sheet are positives. Think ned and boyata proved they are more than worthy back up when required and good enough to challenge for starting roles.
