It's funny, I was really pleased when a mate of mine got with an ex. Thought they'd be good together. No kids involved mind you.

i think if i had a vagina -- if i could pry my fingers out of it long enough -- i'd still love the football. Gender has fuckall to do with it.

cheers

p.s. if that article was serious, then it was shit just for the record. in fact, i'd say it was borderline anti-feminist. I thought for sure it was a sarcastic tongue-in-cheek take, but i guess not?

Angela Epstein is a fucking silly cunt.....and not just based on that abortion of an article.

On an amusing aside, when I went to see Oasis in Heaton Park in the summer, Liam had this to say about her....

Liam addressed the crowd.

In a reference to a column by M.E.N. columnist and Prestwich resident Angela Epstein - who had said she did not want Oasis playing in Heaton Park - the frontman said: "This one is dedicated to Mrs Epstein of the Manchester Evening News, who thinks we should not be here.".....I am pretty sure there was a "fuck her" at the end.

typical of the sexist crap that is allowed to go on nowadays, if it was two women that would have been a very different article - its time we took a stand lads

I got to where she started talking about Bridge and stopped reading. I think my boxer dog knows more about life in general than her, and he lies there all day chewing his toys apart.

I rarely use the word 'cunt' to describe a woman but I think it fits perfectly in this case. I fully expect this twot to be appearing on loose women any day now.

Congratulations miss Epstein, you just made 'the list'.

She's just trying to be controversial to get her name out there as a reporter. Same as she did with Oasis.

Funny how they always parenthesise something about the amout of money footballers earn when discussing moral issues. What difference does it make? If my best mate knobbed my kids' mum behind my back, then I wouldn't shake his hand or choose to work alongside him no matter how much money I earned. There is being the bigger man, and being the bigger mug. And I know which WB would have been if he'd have ignored what's gone on and decided to go to the world cup after all. Well done Bridgey. Shoulda broke the fuckers leg.

just sent a letter of complaint about the column and below is a typical answer to my gripe, which i knew i was gonna get......

Thanks for taking the time to contact us. The article by Angela Epstein was expressing her view on the Wayne Bridge story and was clearly marked as an opinion piece.

Angela is a regular columnist in the Manchester Evening News and is entitled to her point of view, just as you are entitled to disagree with her.

It appears that many other readers do not share Angela’s view, but that is all part and parcel of debate. I don’t believe it would be right that someone who had a minority view should be silenced just because the majority disagreed with her.

I can assure you that Angela’s column does reflect her honestly held views and I hope you will continue to read her columns, and those of our other columnists, to see if they hold views which you agree with.

Thanks again for your message.
