Don't wish injury on anybody, but if he is actually hurt it is just because Ferguson was desperate and played him when he was blatantly not fit. Just as unreasonable as when Wenger played a seriously unfit Fabregas against Barcelona. The clubs get what they deserve. The only injury I wish on Rooney is to be heartbroken when we win the derby by a few goals.

it might be worth pointing out that united still won the game without him, if not the tie. they still scored three goals and i doubt rooney was ever going to be the answer to their defensive problems. the only thing i would be skeptical of is if ferguson said he definitely wouldn't be playing. if he's saying he's fit for the derby, he'll be fit for the derby.
