But what they're all overlooking is Arsenal's unwillingness to spend funds, which is down to Wenger more than the board.

What made me smile though, was when he said it was absurd, that the premier league allowed us to load Fulop, because we brought it on ourselfs when we loaned Joe out. Well Oliver that was a decision made by, the one and only Mark Hughes.

It never fails to amaze me at how these otherwise reasonably intelligent, articulate men persist in maintaining that we'd have done as well, if not better, if Hughes had been allowed to remain in charge.
I was one of those who welcomed Hughes' appointment but after the wretched Spurs 'surrender' I'd had enough
(and I'd been increasingly critical of the way he and the Tafia had dismantled our defence, which led to those shameful draws from winning positions against deadbeat teams)
