I can see him doing a Zat Knight and ending up at a club like Blackburn or Bolton in a few years.

Zabaleta has to start in my City XI.

One suspects Ned is on his way if he's coming out with stuff like this. Time for a "Ned or Roberto" poll akin to the Elano or Hughes ones?

Whats Neds story?
I was actually looking forward to him being on but hes really let himself down.
Not a happy camper fair enough but no need to be dropping shit like that on Mancini. He may have an axe to grind with Mancini but coming out with stuff like that in an interview is poor.
Hes blatently used the appearance on soccer am as a platform to show hes unhappy under Mancini and may as well have wore a t-shirt on to the show saying come and get me to potential suitors.
Im am as much surprised as disappointed as i have always like him.He came across as always being quite dignified to me and i would not at all have expected him to come out with stuff like he did today.

He obviously know's we are in for certain players that are going to push him further down the pecking order so now feels it's the right time to 'sucker punch' the club. For a bloke with 'A' Levels he is still naive as fuck, not realising that Mancio was most probably saving Lescott's blushes, knowing that Fabio was not going to take him anyway. Lescott's had massive periods away from the game and wasn't going to prove himself in the last 2 games.

I wonder if Doug can confirm if he was out training with the rest in the last few weeks?

There is no way Lescott was fit enough, from what I saw,to play in the last 2 games of the season BUT I would have thought he would have been fit enough for the World Cup. As somebody said though Capello might have decided not to pick him anyway as he hadnt been playing.

Not great from Nedum today and I am sure he will be censured by the club but it was clearly from the heart. As I have said before one of the areas Mancini has to prove himself in is man management and this isn't a good sign.

Havent watched it so no comment on the content of the interview.

However I think when you get to 22/23 you have to have a look at which way the wind is blowing at your current club. If you are established and playing regularly, then you have no reason to be unhappy - but if you are sat on the bench and it doesnt look like that is ever going to change, then you have to start weighing up your options for your career as you can see it wasting away before you, particularly as yet another centre half is about to be parachuted into the club ahead of you.

The alternative is just be prepared to sit on the bench for the rest of your career, which is an awful waste and as good as the money is, I am sure it would be soul destroying for any footballer, regardless of whether you believe you are good enough to start.

Wonder if all the Hughes love was based on Hughes going to West Ham and Nedum wanting to follow him?

I can guarantee selling Nedum will come back to bite us in the future. He's got too much talent to play for a lower prem team and will be a star if given the chance. Arsenal or Liverpool would think about signing him.

No wonder Mancini is being linked with 16 new players; Hart, Nedum, Lescott, Ireland, SWP, Bellamy and Tevez all seem to have problems.

Cheers Doug, thought as much, I believe that Fabio had already spoke to Mancio on this subject, and on our other players, that's why AJ made the 30.

And you are right about the man-management, Mancio needs to get stuck in and sort this shit out. Like I've already said, there are a few people who are smarting from Hughes sacking and those decenting voices need shutting up or shipping out, this is why I feel we didn't push on at the end of the season. Like Hughes, Mancio will bring in a few of his own players and bring the rest on board. If they don't come on board I do feel that Mancio has the balls to show them the exit, regardless of who it is; he's already proved that with his public statements.

As he says, he wants players who want to win the title, not just play for the money!

I don't get it Hart be lumped in this group. He has not said he doesn't want to be at City. He has said that he was happy at Brum and would like to stay, but has not said he would hate to go back or said anything negative about Mancini. As for Tevez, has anyone actually seen a quote saying he was unhappy about playing for City other than practicing? A player moaning about two-a-days is pretty common anywhere they are done.

I agree he is at that stage where he himself needs to make a decision on his future as first team opportunities would seem limited for him and hes a good young player.Plenty of clubs will be interested im sure and you could be on to something about him wanting to follow Hughes, im sure he will be back in management during the summer.
Still a bit dissapointed the lad felt he had to speak out about Mancini like that.Hes obviously got an agenda with Mancini due to not playing but i would prefer he kept it to himself or air them behind closed doors.

Another whinging cunt going using the media to throw a negative light on the club, little pisses me off more than this shit. Most of us know it was a mistake to get rid of hughes (certainly at that stage of the season), but the fact is that Mancini is the manager now and saying shit like that serves no purpose.

The problem is - and I know someone's going to jump down my throat for a hint of criticism at the manager - Mancini seems to have problems with quite a few players... and unlike with hughes, these players are hard working players who would easily make it at the top end of another permier league club.

There's too much smoke for no supposed fire at this stage.

Anyway, on a side note - please please please don't sell Ireland.... I truely believe it would be far worse than the stupid sale of Dunne. Except not only would Ireland make the premier league team of the season under the right management/form, but I think he's a future premier league POTY waiting to happen.

He is defo gone and to be fair, his arguement will be that he hasn't been given the chances. I know he gets injured but Nedum is a bright lad and don't think he would kick off if he was missing out due to injuries.

He cant be that bright if he came out with an interview like that - he's not shown himself in a very good light to potential buyers either.

Im starting to think there was some problem behind the scenes - because it made no sense to drop him at the time without reason

Really disappointed in him and for him.
Always liked him and always ranked him as a City man.
Shame he aired the dirty linen but on a positive it takes the "heart" element out, when he goes this summer.
Not the first time he has pissed off supporters thought. Don't think he is welcome in downtown Lagos.
Bitterly disappointed.

Tbf I don't have a problem with what Ned's just said unless he expects to continue as a City player, which it seems he doesn't. He's a big City fan, moeso than many on here & he's been forced out of the club he loves. If it happened to any of you I bet you'd react the same way. Unlike most players, City are the club he dreams of playing for.

We have no option but to back the manager but Ned can say what the fuck he wants about him if he's going. It seems pretty clear that he's moving on, so he's quite within his rights to criticise the manager now the seasons finished & he'll probably never wear a City shirt again. It's hardly a case of a player being disruptive, there's nothing to disrupt, they've all gone on holiday & he'll probably only meet them again from the other end of the pitch.

Hard to say if Ned will fulfil his promise, he hasn't improved much recently but if he does reach his potential he'll be a much better defender than kolo Toure.

Good luck Ned. Top bloke & a true blue. When his career finishes he'll be back amongst the ex players, cheering on City long after Mancini & probably 2-3 other managers to follow have gone.
